YBS Regular Saver - interest

Well,I finally got my bonus but I am still not happy. The bonus amount is £126.98, exactly the same as the interest!! Coincidence?? I am sure the bonus amount should be slightly higher than the interest.
Probably give them another call in the morning.0 -
Update: just realised that they've credited my account with interest twice instead of bonus and interest! Also, the bonus on my wifes account is still missing! Not happy!0

Got mine today:
Nett Interest: £107
Nett Bonus: £109
No problem at all - very pleased!0 -
Just spoken to customer services. Apparantly, according to the onscreen message, the reason my bonus was not credited was something to do with the 13th payment.
I have to call back on Monday because the staff who deals with interest payments only work mon-fri.0 -

That's really odd. If you didn't exceed the maximum £500 per calendar month (even if 13 payments were made) then you should have received interest at the bonus rate. I hope they sort it out for you.Save&Spend wrote:

Save&Spend - As you posted after 1am, when you say you got your interest "today" do you mean the 1st September 2007? Did you open your YBS regular saver account on 1st Sep 2006? Or did you open it on 31st Aug 2006 and did you make a 13th payment (taking your balance to £6,500) before your interest was credited? Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -

Yes, I meant 1st Sept 07.
I open mine on 1st Sept 07.
No, I didn't make the 13th payment - my balance was £6000 when the interests was added.0 -

Thanks for replying. You said you got net interest of £107 and a net bonus of £109 which totals £216 net interest from your regular saver. I wonder how come you received more interest than me, as I had £6,500 in my account from Aug 1st 2007 so received interest on that? I had £1,000 in my regular saver the day after opening it. I also made my monthly deposits in cash on the first working day of each month too, so I can't understand why I was paid £9 less than you. I'll check this in a spreadsheet later. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -

Sounds you should have received more interests than me.
I paid my monthly deposits in cash and cheques on the 1st or 2nd week of each month, but rarely on the 1st day.0 -

Yes, it does seem odd. The interest I've been paid is definitely at the bonus rate. Once I've put the figures into the spreadsheet I should find out one way or the other.
I've sent you a PM.Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -

Sorry for the confusion. Just check my statement again, the above interests is gross interests NOT nett.0
