Well, I received my interest today but not the bonus. The balance in my account is £6500 but I only received £126.98 interest! I will wait another day to see if it turns up.0
-
Just spoke to ybs customer services and they said there has been a system error and the bonus will be backdated and adjusted in.0
-
I've just logged into the YBS online service and my interest has been credited at the bonus rate.
- Gross interest paid just under £260.
Made up of interest at the: - Normal rate just over £128.
- Bonus rate nearly £131.
Total net interest = nearly £207.:T
I can therefore confirm that YBS will pay interest at the bonus rate to people who have timed the opening of their account to allow for a 13th payment (before the account opening anniversary), as discussed in the thread Still no rate rise from Yorkshire?
Well done to the YBS Web Representative who advised me (back in June) that I would still receive interest at the bonus rate. I opened my account near the end of August 2006 and made my second payment on the 1st September 2006, therefore getting in £1,000 really quickly. On Monday 3rd September (2007) I'll be depositing another £500.
Edit: Speculator, I'm pleased to hear that your missing interest is going to be credited. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 - Gross interest paid just under £260.

Cheers Kazza. My interest was actually credited on the 29th of August minus the bonus. Spoke to customer services who in turn contacted the manager who deals with interest payments. I did checked my a/c online again this morning 8.30am.
He said there has been a "system error" and they were aware of the problem and that my interest will be adjusted in today and backdated to the 29th.
My wife opened her a/c at the same time as me and had the same problem.0 -
Thanks for the heads up, Kazza and Speculator. Mine is due around 12th September.Live long and prosper.

I believe that i am in a simlilar situation in terms of timings of bonuses. I haven't updated my account book yet to check the interest. Is the main+bonus interest details separately so i'll know if i've got it? Else i've got a horrible mathematical calculation on a regular saver to work out if i've got the bonus!

I haven't updated my passbook yet, I intend to do that on Monday as I'll be near a branch then to make another deposit. I checked my interest online. Why don't you register for online access?
The interest credits on my account are separate and labelled 'Gross' and 'Bonus int'.Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Cheers Kazza,
I definitely will register to do it online!
