Just heard from CY that she is hoping to go home later today :)
  • Dinner cooked, small people fed and watered, WMx3 done, TD on, DW on for second time... Rinse and repeat lol... I haven't even got dressed properly today! I can't believe it's school run time in an hour I've only just sat down!

That's good news about CY thank you for letting us know.

Need to set a budget for February and stick to it, too many expenses associated with the move are piling up. DIZZY - I hope Tiny is being good for his mummy today.

Piggers - your energy is ace. How many kids have you still got at home? You're a one woman flying machine it seems xx

Actually if I sit still for too long I fall asleep! 7, 9 or 10 depending on what day it is! and OH.. he is like 2 or 3 most days.

I am struggling to just sit here and know the WMs aren't running so I'm going to go sort those and then trot up to the girly room.. I will have some floor again.. I will bleach the loo on the way past too I think.. and kick DS2 to make his phone call.. and I have 2 calls to make too while I remember.

Glad to hear CY is well.. :) ty iona.

Anyone fancy joining me for a flinging frenzy?? I'm going to be at it for an hour.. ten I will finish this ear and then get dinner on..

Thanks for the update ionafan that sounds promising xx

I'd join you flinging pigpen but I cba...

Just having a late lunch after a meeting with my mums assessor - she's moving from agency to local authority so they just wanted a reference really.

Made soup, so just having that and some bread. I managed half a crumpet earlier :T

Have tied things down in garden - following the "tornado" lol that's what the devastation looked like!!!

Also have stripped and remade my bed. Tidied and vacced all downstairs. Done laundry and DW and wiped all around kitchen and downstairs WC.

So I'm just having an hour before the school run :D

Thanks for the update on CY.

I have done very little today. Cleared the kitchen, took ds2 swimming and..... Nope that's it! I will put a load of washing on before I do the school run!

  • Great news about CY. And Ionafan I am thinking about having my hair chopped too. I am known for spending months growing my hair, getting bored with it and chopping it all off.

Bathroom is done. Need to walk the dog. DS2 is at work at 4.30 so I am taxi service. He gets home at 4.10 so it's really tight, I need to remember to find something that he can eat in the car because he doesnt get fed at work.

Pigpen you are on a roll today. And yeah what is it about blokes/teenagers that they cant make a simple sandwich without spreading mess everywhere.

Right, the dog is waiting for me ..

That's fantastic news. Hope you're soon feeling better CY

Been blowing a hooley here since last night. Intermittent very heavy showers and sunshine flashing through. Loads of roads under water. All the bridges, bar one, are closed so DH keeps getting stuck in horrible queues for the one bridge still open - he's going to be late tonight and just wishing he was home safe out of it now

I've stripped, turned and remade our bed.
Collected all the towels and cloths and replaced with fresh

Three loads through the WM and TD. All folded and put away apart from three tops hanging up to dry and a couple of bras (TMI sorry)

Bathroom and kitchen all S & S, sinks shined and floors washed.

That's a coincidence Piggers - I'm just about to make a Tartiflette, which is basically a potato and bacon bake :rotfl:

Think a cuppa is due first :D

Thanks for the info - sending CY-come-home vibes.
And yeah what is it about blokes/teenagers that they cant make a simple sandwich without spreading mess everywhere.
It's got to be something genetic - even Mr LW leaves the work surface covered in crumbs when he's made his lunchbox in the mornings. I don't mind too much, as he does a fantastic amount to help me:A so that's a very minor irritation, and easily sorted.:o

I loaded up the WM last night so that I could just switch it on at sparrow-fart this morning (ie when the Princesses went outside for their early-morning pee). That way it was done before Mr LW went to work, so he could help get the stuff onto the A-frame - daren't put anything outside, it'd end up in next door's garden!

The girls saw their friend Sweep again today, but they didn't want to stay out long, as it was blowing a hoolie out there. They are both full of admiration for Whiz - Pandy's too lazy to do agility, and Patsy has the attention span of a gnat, so I don't think she'd do too well, either.:rotfl:

Mr LW has informed me that one of the chaps at work brought in veg samosas to sell for charity (this is a fairly regular event) so he's bought some which we can have with some soup for our dins - so hooray, no cooking for me tonight! :T
Next task I think is give the girls a good brush - they both look like they've been dragged through a hedge backwards! :D
Oh yes, and we've decided Patsy looks rather like a miniature Wookie.:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Well I sorted not a single thing from the girls room.. I did however..

Put away my Christmas next bargains, clear out 3 chests of drawers and a box of clothes.. I now have no bed and 4 binbags of stuff to fling!
put away dry bedding and towels
Bossed OH to clean the hob and hang out another basket of washing.. its drying so fast out there today I love it! And, told him to empty the potty he was sitting next too with a turd stewing in it.. I've been upstairs an hour and it wasn't there when I went up!

I'm going to pop up for another half hour after OH has been given another list of tasks.. he was! sat reading a comic!! !!!!!! man.. DO SOMETHING!

The girls are trashing the tidy bit of their room.. but I figure everything gets dragged out before it gets put away again so they may as well do it and save me the hassle!

Just back in from paid stuff, I stayed late to help re-cover a display board. It looks pretty darn good if I say so myself. Self praise being no recommendation at all. Lol

    Good news about CY

Hope all are well, you've certainly been busy .

Just going to sink a cuppa then I'll look what we are having for tea. It's something involving veggie mince and whatever veggies are left in the fridge plus potatoes. It may be shepherds pie as that's easy enough.

Choccy Friday today so have a bar of yorkie to nibble later. Our head buys a bag of choccy bars to shar on the last Friday of the month. It is amazing how much a bar of choc can boost a workforce's morale

Wm is loaded and I've just folded some dry non ironing
