Does Tesco Mobile offer rentention deals?

Hi,
I have reached the last month of my Tesco Mobile pay-monthly contract, and was looking forward to negotiating a good deal on an upgrade, but they would only offer me a little more data on their current deals. If I didn't want that, they were happy for me to leave.
I often hear about people getting great deals from retention departments at mobile phone companies. Does Tesco Mobile not do this?
Thanks for any help!
Tim

How does their offer compare to other tariffs on the market? What sort of deal were you after?0

You'll do better to source your own phone and switch to SIM only, or start a new contract. Upgrades never offer the best deals. Did you actually ask for your PAC and speak to Retentions? No free lunch, and no free laptop0

It would appear not.
I have a sim only contract with them. I'm after a little more data. There are plenty of contracts now available for £10 that offer 2gb data.
I called Tesco and asked if they could match the deals available. Baring in mind an extra gig at tesco cost £2.50 a month.
They said they could give me an extra 500mb and take away 500 minute and that's if I signed up for 18 months. Who on their right mind would sign up to an 18 month sim only contract?!
So I got my pac. Haven't decided who to switch to you though.Sigless0 -
Tesco M is up for sale, they will be trying to make it as profitable as poss so I assume poor retention deals are the norm.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

I understood half of it was owned by o2, so selling it to another operator seems unlikely. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Anyone can buy it for the right price, network, MVNO, start up, expansion plans.
I'm sure Tesco probably overvalued its price :rotfl:SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Tesco never offer rentention deals other than the same as new customers, been with them for years. Wouldn't surprised me about the sale as our home phone was sold to talktalkDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Blinkbox, broadband and home phone all went TT, Tesco is focusing on its stores and debt and off hiving all other assets/responsibilities.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... i will preface this by saying we have terrible signal round here and Tesco is one of few that just about work. i also like the fact you can cap them as one is for a teen
i got blackberry sim only 250mn, 5000txt and 2.25gb (inc perk) data plus whatever perk i wanted for £11 for 18months.
also got 250mns, 5000txt and 500mb data for £5 for 12 mnths
i was quite pleased with that as better than whats on website and instoreWhen you know better you do better0 -
TM gave me some free data on top of the standard package, to try out their service before committing to another 12/18 months0
