a well known scammer has used the company registration number of another company (dissolved) on its signage.
upon pointing this out to the BPA , guess the answer?
Good evening Mr xxxxx
Thank you for the information you have provided. The Code of Practice states there must be a geographical address where documents can be served. There is a geographical address on the signage.
Yours sincerely

Logic would suggest that a sign which gives the details of another company than the one which holds the contract for the land is not applicable (and may be mis-representation).0

I think your headline really ought to say "PPC makes a typo"
Active - Proposal to Strike Off does not mean dissolved.
This is so plainly a typo I can't see the issue. Its hardly as though Company A Ltd had put the name, address and registered number of Company B Ltd on their signs.
The chances that Joe Public would be deceived by this are slim because the name (with or without the Ltd) and address are correct. It is not as though the company offering the contract is hiding itself.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

Britannia Parking Group Ltd, company number 08182990 isn't. I don't know where you are checking.

I think that the code says that the company must provide its (they use the word "your") details, ie. not that of another/nonexistent one.pappa_golf wrote: »but acceptable under the BPA code of conduct0 -
the name of the company operating the car park is Britannia parking LTD , who do not existSave a Rachael

It's a typo
08182290 = Triant
08182990 = Britannia
There is no connection between the twoThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
With respect PG that is not what the signs say nor is it what is shown on the PCN in the original ppp thread.pappa_golf wrote: »the name of the company operating the car park is Britannia parking LTD , who do not exist
I know that my eyesight is not what it used to be but can you point in the direction of the wording on the signage "Britannia Parking Ltd"
Britannia Parking Ltd does exist despite your protestations to the contrary. The company is dormant but they exist even though they have only operated under that name since March 2015 (having previously been Airport Parking (Free Shuttle) Ltd - which at the time was pointed up as a potential phoenix vehicle).
I think I'm missing your point here PG.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
