I'll see if I can return the Toshiba and get the one in #52
No OS on it does sound a bit weird though, what does it run on ?
I haven't been dumb on purpose, I just understand little about tech, that's all, appreciated the advice I got0 -

It will most likely be supplied with an OS.... If not, we'll install it. Not rocket science.
I already told you what to do with the Toshiba.0 -

OK so decline delivery as you said? So basically the courier comes with the Toshiba and you just say to him "sorry I changed my mind please take it back" ? I had no idea it was possible to do that with EBay
I checked my account and I don't see an option to cancel, only return (but I need to send the laptop back myself if I press return surely?)0 -

You can choose to contact the seller via eBay/email and submit your cancellation that way. Yes, just decline to accept the parcel and it will make it's way back to Argos.
If you are nervous about MCS, Argos Outlet have i3 machines under your budgeted amount, albeit their second grade.£10 for their top refurbs.0 -

just to get an idea, not saying I'll buy these
UPDATE: our extremely moody landlady had an argument with me and my flatmate this weekend and looks like she wants to kick us out, if that happens my budget will have to go from £200 back to £70
NiftyDigits, this one you suggested is sadly out of stock...

How about this? Core i3 at £80 looks like a bargain, and I could save the money for a rainy day0 -

If it fits your needs, why not? Screen is a bit smaller than you prefer and no number keypad, but compromises often need to be made.0 -
