Hi folks
I'm helping my friend look for a holiday to Blackpool and to be honest don't know where to start looking, and really need some help please!
She's looking for a short Monday to Friday break at the beginning of August for her and her 2 boys, aged 13 and 16. She'd like a family room for the 3 of them in a small and friendly B&B. Her only requirements are that it's clean, serves a good breakfast and is close to the pleasure beach and attractions.
I've looked on Trip Advisor but there are over 900 B&Bs. Has anyone got any personal recommendations, or know any where nice? Do you ring the hotel direct for prices or do you book via a website.
Thanks for any help xx

Hi MarylandCookie, I have literally just gone through the same process and the choice of accommodation in Blackpool is enormous.
I asked a similar question on another website and was pointed to deals.cheap-holidaydeals.co.uk and i found i could view a LOT of accommodation all in one place, see customer reviews plus (i think) got a great price for booking. Hope this helps, just my experience0 -
I can recommend the Lady Hamilton on St Chads road... A typical dated Blackpool B&B but immaculate, lovely fresh breakfast and efficiently run by a lovely lady named Margaret. We have stayed here several times and is now a favourite with all our friends.0

The Derwent hotel - palatine road, a couple of mins walk and ur at central pier, great value there, a basic b&b - get clean ensuite room, good breakfast and friendly hosts Xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Btw if you're going to the Pleasure Beach, book your wristbands at least 10 days in advance - it saves a few £ on the standard price.0

Thanks so much for all your help, craven dale could you confirm that website please, I've tried lots of searches but nothing comes up.
Thanks poppies that b&b looks lovely but the only available room hasn't got an ensuite which she wants.
Any other suggestions gratefully received x0 -
Have stayed at Grosvenor View Hotel a few times. They are at the North end of Blackpool but near a tram station.0

Trafalgar road is fairly near pleasure beach and just off the sea front. I've stayed in a few b&b's there in past. I think it was the Kingsway which was clean, friendly and nice breakfast. You can also redeem tesco points for pleasure beach which I found worked out cheaper and if you're going to tussauds or sealift don't forget some cereal packets etc have 2for1 offers on.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0

...but I can't see that being any more help than other sites.0 -
Hi
Morgans on the prom is good https://www.morgansontheprom.com
They're walking distance from the Pleasure Beach.
It is always best to ring the hotel direct rather than going through booking.com etc as you'll often get a better deal as they don't have to pay commission.0 -
I will never, ever go to Blackpool again.
I wont say any more than that to be fair to the other posters who are recommending on here.
I can recommend coach holidays for you and your boys, Shearings, National Holidays, David Urquhart....
Dinner bed and breakfast, excursions, sometimes £25 credit for each customer for drinks, 5 days for £99 for some of them.....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
