My dad used to work longer hours than that and held a blue badge, mind you, his work had adapted his office, made sure he was on the ground floor and had parking close by and when they moved office and couldn't accomodate his department on the ground floor, installed a lift!
Dad had an accident at work in 72 which meant he had to walk with aids and after a complete change of career (he had been in construction, he went into office work), continued in work.
Being able to work whilst holding a blue badge is not impossible, in fact, it is very possible.
I'm not saying ALL people that have a badge shouldn't have one, I'm saying some do and when people see them in the wrong hands, it undermine them.
My example was an example of them wrongly used, the guy went through the process to get one, knowing he didn't need one,on his feet and walking around for 8 hours a day, not sitting at a desk and the process gave him one, he laughed himself when he got one.
I believe they are to easy to get in SOME cases.0
