I had a lovely time at dds - spent time with my granddaughters and daughter by myself - often when we get together we have so much to fit in I feel as if I've hardly seen them with the mad merry go round of life. Dh joined me at the weekend and we both had a glorious day on a sailing boat pootling around the Thames estuary - this was bought a couple of Christmasses ago as a present and with one thing an another we haven't had chance to use it. Luckily the boat owner let us extend it a year when dd told him I'd been in hospital but it needed using this year. The weather was amazing and the sea like a mill pond - it was really peaceful with the sails up. We sailed to some old forts in the Thames estuary which looked like they belonged in Doctoe Who. The 6 hours went so quickly - the only down side was having to climb down a ladder on the harbour wall to the boat:eek::eek:

CL I saw the doc at Wrightington - a professor - so hopefully he knows his stuff. He did an ultrasound of my wrists and confirmed the membrane that holds the wrist bones in place isn't in good condition and the bones are out of alignment and needs surgery, but he wants MRI scans to determine the best way to tackle it. I've got to go back the second week in October and see him, hopefully a scan appointment will come through beforehand otherwise I'll be chasing them up. I asked him how long before he does it - I'd prefer it after Christmas - he said he has a long waiting list so will be after Christmas.

This coming Friday I'm at Salford hospital to see if I've been having bleeds into my spine which might have caused my leg to give way. So
I'll go on the tram. I'll probably have a little mooch around the shops nearby for Christmaas presents before heading back.

I had a great night out with a friend at local theatre on Friday watching a Motown show - fantastic atmosphere, lots of singing and fun was on the agenda. My arm was so sore the following day though with all the clapping.

Then life hit me a new unexpected blow on Sunday. We have been waiting for a little inheritance and it is looking very likely that it has been scammed. It wasn't a lot in the grand scheme of things but would have certainly taken the pressure off for a while - there's professsional folk looking into it so its out of our hands......I'm a combination of dumbstruck, mad and numb then mad all over again. Hopefully it'll be sorted - just once - I wish something could be straightforward. When I think how this person looked after the pennies - wish she'd have had fun and blown the bloomin lot........she would be going ballistic if she knew what was happening:mad:

So life has got in the way again........

    Oops pressed send by mistake.
Got hold of the family member who is handling the will. Turns out there might be potential of having some of the cash retrieved - but because of the fraudulent actions of the investment company and police being involved - it could all be drawn out and long winded plus in retrospect it looks as if they didn't send correct paperwork out.....so all is not yet lost but could be messy.....fingers crossed :wall::wall:_pale_.....

Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight - after all you can't miss what you've never had. Just makes me mad when I think of how she tried to make life easy for us after she died - she even organised her own funeral and now all this.
