We shop in a Lidl in Reading which is a few yards from Reading West Station. There are no parking restrictions at all, even on the morning of Christmas Eve we managed to park there.

How much do the station charge for parking?

There is a supermarket near a station near me, they have a 2 hour restriction, they have to as the station charge a fortune to park there and they are also within walking distance to to town, where again the parking charges are high.

I don't agree with the parking companies BUT there does have to be some kind of system and not just a free for all.

Around here the supermarkets out of town are all free parking (including an Aldi), they can afford to, there is no reason to park there apart to go to the shop.

In town they use parking companies where parking is restricted to two hours. Like I said I don't agree with it but there has to be some way to stop people parking there to go into town. People still park in the car parks and go into town (they must stay under 2 hours). i know this as when I visit a particular supermarket the car park is always full but there are certainly not that amount of people within the shop.

Agreed there must be some sort of order but £100, it's just taking the p..s

The Deep is not saying its a station car park, its a separate car park next to the station
