Can customer charge the airline an admin fee for making changes?

Recently Wizzair changed both the times and dates for flights I'd booked several months ago. The upshot is, getting in at 1am, rather than dinner time, and returning the day before originally scheduled.

So I've been offered a refund, which I've requested (and then received a further two notifications from Wizzair amending the time/date) over the course of the week. Same e-mail, just sent again.

So, my perhaps theoretical question is, if I wanted to change, I would have to pay, if they want to change, surely they should have to pay the same admin charges?

(for info Wizzair do offer a 120% refund voucher, which seemed relatively reasonable)
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

Wizz air are already being more than reasonable. The simple fact is that most airlines don't know their flight timetable much more than 6mths in advance, and the timetables run from (roughly) the last weekend in March and the last weekend in September.

If I had £1 for every email I've sent to clients advising of a timetable change, I'd be very rich indeed. ;)

What "admin" are you doing to charge an admin charge?

I would think very little. Although I would have to find alternative accommodation, alternative flights, change my parking at the airport. Possibly less that the supplier would if I requested a change?

I'd agree they are being reasonable, my question is really theoretical, I have no axe to grind.

Re: Timetables, That's what I was thinking. That they forecast their timetables, so these are subject to change. Still a shame though, as of course, I plan around those forecasts.:D

How much will it cost you for this admin? airline would be paying wages to process changes?

Probably a couple of hours work, so more than £60.

Of course I'd then have to file a tax return, and declare it...:)

How about the 4th e-mail they've just sent, letting me know they are changing the times (same changes, same e-mail)

I've followed the mail through twice requesting a refund.

    so now it's becoming annoying...

    next time it's personal...:D

It is a shame, but there's going to be a lot of upheavel this year with airlines cancelling routes to Egypt and the likes. A lot of the departure slots are going to change as airlines cancel old routes and negotiate new ones.

There's absolutely nothing stopping you invoicing them for any time it's taken you to deal with their unrequested changes. £30 per hour is very reasonable.

There's recent precedent with someone invoicing a cold caller company for wasting their time.

You'd need to take them to court and have the judge side with you, but Wizz are Hungarian I believe which probably puts them out of reach.
