My jobshare friend just texted me, she's well enough to go in today, I did part of her shift yesterday as she had to go to hospital for some follow up stuff which was hard work for her but she is incredibly brave and dignified and wants to go in today. So I'll see her at lunchtime.
Which gives me this morning to fly and tackle the mending pile.

LW and Pigpen hope it goes well today

CY thanks for update, sending hugs

We've got no hot water here - called the plumber last night, no reply, and texted him - will give it til mid morning and then try someone else.

Feeling a bit down tbh. I dropped my meds a smidge as feeling so good last week but am going to have to put them back again as how I am feeling now leads to trouble :( Going to walk Whiz with my friend and then have housework to do plus paperwork.

  • Morning all,

Rubbish day for flying yesterday, but Monday nearly always is. Long day at paid stuff. Managed basics only.

    Today will be different!
Dropping kids at school in a mo, then off to paid stuff. Already done DW and WM.

    Rest of day :

    Finish dailies
    Internet shop
    One item of froggy paperwork
    Wipe down front door
Hoover LR including sofas and under stuff
    Declutter LR, hall and stairs.
Check if Christmas tree collection is tomorrow
    Painting!

cy, hope you are feeling a bit better today, and positive thoughts heading your way x

Welcome new flyers, don't burn out!

    Right, school run beckons x

    Morning all again :p

Hugs to all, especially CY, LW, Pigpen.

I'm so tired this morning. It was nearly 1am when I got to sleep, so of course when my alarm went off at 6am I just hit snooze and kept on hitting it until 7.20 :o DD is packed off to school and will be going to club straight from there. I've asked her to try and get my uncle a birthday card as the ones in Mr A were rubbish and as usual I only remembered yesterday :o

Paid stuff all day. Going to quickly update my personal accounts and tackle the 12" tower of notebooks/papers/books sat on my desk before I start work as I know there's stuff in there that I need. Think I'm going to have to take regular breaks today to get up and move. I'm already feeling chilly and I've only been sat down half an hour!

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Horrid morning - took Whiz out and he got bit by a terrier - so did I. Been crying and Dad thinks I'm in shock .... rang him as needed to talk to someone. Cleaned Whiz up and he's been bitten above his hock on his back leg and right by his paw but I got away with no blood but hand aches. Just feel it's one thing on top of another at the moment and I so needed a nice walk but not meant to be - Whiz was hopping lame so we had to come straight back home.

Going to do some paid stuff, prepare for more paid stuff tomorrow and try to vacuum but need to just be kind to myself today as a bit vulnerable.

Goodness Flyladies are going through it at the moment. (((Hugs))) all round, and especially for:
Mumto2s Hand and Whiz *healing vibes,* I'm so sick of people who just won't learn how to control their horrible dogs. Kelpie and I no longer walk on the Hoe at all, ever, and we've met a whole pile of new people who avoid it for exactly the same reason.
    CY *healing vibes*
Dizzy, *calm happy Tiny and Dog* vibes
    Mrs MP's DS2 *sense* vibes
    Pigpen's DS3 *get vertical* vibes
    Lamewolf: *Courage and survival* vibes

Happy birthday, Lynne for the other day - I'm so sorry I missed it.

Love the number plate Valli, and the bunnies, Piggers.

Yeah, it's really grim here, too, all day, every day at the moment, hence the lack of cleaning properly. Yeah.

Actually, it's hardly surprising the moody grims have arrived. It's cold, grey, bleak, wet, overcast and there's weeks and weeks to go before Easter. This is what's known as being 'under the weather' as far as I'm concerned.

Any Flying that gets done is an achievement, so I'm very proud that I have put a WM load through and pegged it out and sent a stern email back to the boiler people who have !!!!!! me off with a standard email reply to a very polite letter detailing a very specific problem. More will be tackled in a bit.

Lovely to see so many returners making such brilliant progress. *respect*
    Better is good enough.

I'll echo what Honeybear said about hugs to all anxious/wounded/struggling people and dogs.

Late this morning as I just thought I'd read a bit before getting ready for gym. Eek. Leaped up 2 mins after I was planning to leave the house, threw clothes on, grabbed a banana for breakfast then went out to scrape the car, it was -4. Missed first exercise but did Insanity then Zumba so MyFitnessPal should be pleased with me.

    - filled bird feeders and water
    - cleared living room of all the stuff I'd left down there yesterday
    - printed off Beefeater voucher before points expire
    -caught up with emails.

    Today's plan:
    - tax return
    - 3 reports to do
    - email regarding 1 report as the girl has an exam on Friday
    - vacuum downstairs
    - do a bit in kitchen as I did lounge yesterday after a fashion
    - book tickets for a couple of exhibitions at Natural History Museum

No more rash promises for today.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Mumof2- sorry to hear about whiz. Hope he's ok.
Narco- well done on all the exercise.

Finished the paid stuff for today. Took a lot longer than 2 hours! This is not how I thought my maternity leave would start! Off for a meeting at ds2s nursery and then to do the school run. Must do something when I get back!

Hubby rang earlier to say that he wasn't entitled to any paternity leave/pay. Must be a bit emotional because I had a little cry! he said he will take a week unpaid and a week holiday so I think it will be fine. The annoying thing is that he has been there 5 months and if he had been there 6 months he would have got two weeks @ 90% pay. Grr! Anyway can't do anything about it. She definately won't be 4 weeks late! Lol! Catch up later x
