Aldi puff pastry is getting high marks in this household. It puffs up better than the equivalent product we'd been getting from Waitrose.

Is it all butter, or does it contain other fats such as palm oil and other vegetable oils?

Getting increasingly difficult to find the all-butter versions, but if Aldi do one that's good.

    Sorry if already posted..

Walked out of Lidl yesterday with a case of these (after paying ;)), South African Chenin Blanc on offer from £3.89 to £2.99 a bottle, placed near entrance.

Was already good value for a half decent glug, this is even better though!

  • They’ve been doing a decent wine for £2.99 most weekends for a while now. I’m making the most of it before MAP takes effect.

.... and what a disaster that's most likely going to turn out .

Making alcohol more expensive than cannabis or other drugs, potentially steering some to drink meths, sniff glue, snort butane, use the now non-legal "legal highs" of recent times and any cheaper alternative method of getting a release/relief etc.

Fortunately MAP CANNOT be ENFORCED when you brew your own beer and wine, OR DISTILL your own spirits :T :D :j :rotfl:

Aldi are selling boxes of ten ice cream bites for 99p. I've tried two flavours, marc de champagne and strawberry, both are gorgeous. A really lovely little treat. Sorry, can't find on website to link to, in spite of typing name exactly as it is on the packaging. They are like A box of chocs, but with ice cream centres. Yummm

    Omg aren't they lush?!! :p

Don't buy the current version of Aldi's clingfilm.

Seems to be too thick for clingfilm. Trouble is it doesn't cling to anything, not even itself! Took it back and got my money back.

I have since brought the Lidl version. Back to fighting with clingfilm that sicks to everything, including itself. :)

Hi again Quoia - I've not been able to get a reply from you to PMs, but remember this from last July?:

"I wonder if you could be so kind as to help me with a little bit of research I'm conducting

It's nothing untoward or sinister although I don't want to say anything more about it before you give me your responses.
I'll explain everything afterwards if you'll trust me.

A few days ago, here in the Aldi/Lidl thread..........."

I gave you the information you were looking for, but nothing from you since, despite the PMs - care to elaborate now?

Oh no! Up to now that's the only clingfilm that I've found which is both easy to manage and does it's job. Don't know where to buy now. Any recommendations appreciated!
