Lidl seems to have changed supplier of their own brand loo rolls. I'm not happy. Same as Aldi's now, I suppose :( No more good quality big packs (10 rolls) with recycled %

Wilko/Wilkinson have 18-Pack Toilet Rolls for £3 that are quite good quality.
  • Finally got round to trying the Aldi's luxury frozen white chocolate and mascarpone deserts that I bought for Xmas but didn't get round to eating. Out of the four who had one, only 1 person thought it was ok. The rest of us ending up throwing them away after a couple of mouthfuls ...so I won't be buying them again!
On the other hand - the Aldi shot deserts were very nice ......:)
  • Easy Home Electric Window Cleaner on offer in Aldi tomorrow for £24.99, seems a good buy but does anyone have experience with one?

Aldi's own brand of cornflakes are devoid of any taste.

To be fair, the cornflake taste bar is not set very high. :)

Finally got the Aldi baked beans to try and I had them for my dinner, very nice! My favourite baked beans are Waitrose essential however the Aldi ones are now joint top and 10p per tin cheaper.

  • Anyone know where the single malt whisky in Aldi is made ?

Very nice but wouldn't mind knowing which distillery

Ah but which ones since Aldi do two types?
Corale (predominantly red label) pack 4 @99p
    Essentials (predominantly white label) @23p

Personally IMHO the slightly cheaper "Essentials" contain more liquid & less beans.
That said, they are still good and suit our needs.

Also - have any of you used a refurbished (I really mean rebuilt) Lidl yet? I mean as in a new store?
I visited one this week, though sadly not in Scotland.
    Gloucester IIRC.

Oh my, they are lovely - and so much smarter than the competition; these are nice to shop in with ample space between aisles too.
    Plus self-service tills!
    Very, very smart.

The Aldi Corale baked beans are very sweet which I don't mind but I would imagine are not to everyone's taste.
