Just a heads up if it's of use - Lidl have a full range of their own toothpastes at the moment (including the sensitive) at just 39p for 125ml.0 -
If anyone has a Nespresso coffee machine, Aldi have relaunched their compatible capsule range.
The capsules are now in rectangular boxes, I think they were £1.79 for 10 which was the previous price when they were in tube style boxes.
The blue Lungo capsules performed beautifully - better than the old ones, as good as the Nespresso, in my opinion -and gave a great crema with a lovely flavour.
I think the other two varieties available were Intense and Ristretto. No decaff, alas. I will have to stick with Cru Kafe for that.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Don`t say the two pineapples I picked up are going to be tasteless
Will be really unhappy if thats the case.
On the plus side, I bought some oranges from Lidl on offer this week (1.5kg bags for 59p) and they are lovely.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Kiwis and apples not so good for you maybe blend them for a smoothie with some pineapple or diet busting crumbles0 -
Could someone give me some advice on an Aldi product?
I usually use Comfort Pure fabric conditioner.
Can any tell what the quality of Aldi's 2ltr or 1ltr concentrated versions (white liquid) are like? Are they as good as or better than Comfort pure?
Any opinions appreciated. The more I live, the more I learn.

Which? scored Comfort at 71% and Aldi's at 53% - but it was only about a third of the price!
The main criticism of the Aldi product was that the smell didn't last as long, but as they said, that might well suit some people.0 -
A lot of XL stuff this next week or two. Really hate how they've changed their baby wipes from 80 strong ones to 64 thin ones but old stock of the 80+20 XL packs were in our local store today!PK! :money:0

From Lidl Fin Carrè 100g Crusti choc: 85% Milk Chocolate & 15% choc flavoured crisped cereals.
Really, really nice. Wonderfully rich chocolate flavour, and I don't like dark chocolate which is kind of what it tastes like. Not a cheap milk chocolate taste at all.
Also the cheese thins just get better and better, they've definitely improved then since I started buying a year ago.0 -
I prefer the smell of the Aldi liquid. It reminds me a little of washing that's been dried outdoors. Comfort has a more intense and longer lasting smell but I hate strong fragrance from my laundry so it suits me. I also find that Comfort goes really thick and gloopy a few weeks after opening, the Aldi liquid stays very thin so you can dose it more precisely.0

Keep an eye on your prices. Noticed some of the prices on some things have gonr up.
Tin spuds now up from 15p to 19p
Thin pizzas now up from 89p to 95p
Essential ltinned rice pudding now up from 15p to 20p
30 mtr tin foil up from £1.99 to £2.09
Not much but it all adds up over a year.
Maybe more price increases but arrived late in day so did not have time to really look.
Seems that Aldi is mot ammune to the post Xmas price increases that the other big 4 supermarkets do.The more I live, the more I learn.
