I'm sorry that it sounds dodgy. All I want is to collect MY documents showing MY original driving license and / or birth certificate . Or my other bank debit card. Whatever works.Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.

But whatever works is usually a combination of documents proving name and/or address - without a passport, you're probably going to have to show a utility bill (anyone can order copies of anyone else's birth certificate, so as a rule these aren't usually accepted as proof of ID)0 -
What about my driving license ? That can't be ordered by anyone , Moreover it has my picture on it . Guys ,regardless of all this, without going off topic , Is there a way that I can ask them to keep the documents , I don't mind a letter coming to my address asking me to go into branch as long as it doesnt give out any of my sensitive info. Honestly.Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.

They'll take your driving licence as proof of your identity or your address, but not both. Ask HMRC for a tax coding notice to satisfy the proof of address requirement.0

Think your asking abit much here really.
You might be better off applying then go into a branch with your ID.
Actually you would better off applying in branch and explaining the circumstances as in the banking world they are obligated to send some things to you by post.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
So basically I live in a shared house at the moment , But I really really don't trust some new tenants who has come downstairs after one of them was found opening my letter!
I want to open a bank account ,but I don't want the letters and documents to come to my home address.
Is there any way that I can get it delivered to my girlfriend or idk anyway I can collect it from the branch or something ?
Royalmail redirect won't work as I can never get past their card payment thingy online or in person for some reason they said they won't do it for me.
You can fill out a form in the post office and pay over the counter.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Metro Bank will give you your card in branch while you wait. I think Barclays are starting to do the same.0

There are banks that will allow you to record a residential address and a separate correspondence address (possibly not during account opening though - and most likely not through an online application). In branch they ask for like utility bills and all that . I get all things online and !!!!!!s don't accept estatements . I have my full driving license but no passport. It's really annoying that they want 2-3 documents .
Even through a branch application, there are banks that might be able to verify your identity electronically without having to see any documents.
I believe the likes of Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and possibly TSB accept printed electronic bills/statements but in most cases will not require any proof of address anyway.0 -

Lloyds do not accept documents printed off the net, and I doubt the others will.
