    Thanks Kirtsy :)
  • August has been an expensive month, so have managed to over pay by £1600, which is about £200 less than my projected payment, so not too bad.

The monthly interest amount will drop by about £20 from October, so that's good news.

Have cut down on various monthly expenses so will be able to increase the over-payments slightly from next month.

28 months to go...onwards and upwards...
  • Hi Dark Knight,

You seem to be smashing down the mortgage! And congratulations on the Mini Dark Night! I'm curious to know what type of things you do for your £10k treats? Is it things like days out or is int more theoretical like a nice pat on the back?

    Well done!

So this month, have had to negotiate a couple of big bumps in the road (emergencies), as a result of which have only been able to make an over-payment of £720, less than half the scheduled OP.

However, should still be on target to get within touching distance of £80K by the end of the year.

Still alive and kicking...fingers crossed for a normal month in October...27 months to go...
  • Another rough month, mainly trying to recover from the knockout of last month's emergencies.

Have managed to OP by £1000...more than 50% of the planned OP.

Hoping for some sort of normality next month...26 months to go...
  • £1k OP is fab... bumps in the road are b*ggers

fingers crossed for normality for you :)

    Hello dark^knight,

Congratulations on the birth of your little one.

Hope all goes well with the overpayments in November and great that despite not overpaying quite as much as you would have liked for the past 2 months that you are not too far adrift from your end of year target.
