Ok so I have been working on uprating my credit score for some time. I've never had a bad debt or ivas bancrupcy or anything rough. For all intents I have a squeeky clean credit history. A little high on the credit card v amount of credit but I am working on getting get this down.
So Experian that I am addicted to has me listed as 999 points with 20k outstanding on 65k of available credit card debt. As said earlier I pay this at about 2 to 4k a month so it's coming down nicely. That's the only negative. My house comes out at just under half a million with 100 outstanding and I have been in it for 5 years plus. Earnings are normally over 150k net but have dipped on occasion to 50k for short periods.
So why when I check on Noodle does it list me as a Fair credit rating with 3/5
Bemusing at least?
If you look through previous posts you will see that 999 scores from Experian are quite common!
Noddle algorithms that they use to generate credit scores probably put a greater negative weighting on your high level of credit card debt. 20K credit card debt is a lot for most people, although as you are earning 150K it may not be a big deal for you?
As you have found, one CRA can give a high score and another a low score, which makes the scores meaningless.
I get free reports from Clearscore and Noddle. There was one month where Clearscore put my score 'up' at the same time as Noddle put it 'down!'.
It's best to concentrate on the credit history and ignore the scores0
