I'm with INOD on this, I have a 14yr old DD and an annoying DH - I seem to be the only one who can wash up, clean the litter trays, empty the bins etc
I keep dreaming of living on my own:rotfl:
I didn't mind doing all the housework when I worked part time and had the kids but now I am full time surely it needs to change!!
What I find works for me is doing everything that needs doing before I sit down because once I'm down that's it for the evening so as soon as I get in from work I walk the dogs, feed them, wash up, clean cat litter trays and maybe put a load of washing on and then I sit down for a coffee and a read of the paper.
I also find washing up every night helps with the state of the kitchen, I don't wash up absolutely everything, just enough to fill the drainer every night and by mid week I am basically up to date.
Hope you manage to get your eyeshadow.0 -
Hi DIA - I've been a bit missing in action this week with it being the school holidays, so just catching up.
Sounds like you've had a few ups and downs since I last checked in. Hope your health concern isn't too concerning, and that the washing is being kept at bay! I'm impressed with your positive attitude - "Instead of moaning about the dishes, why don't i just wash them?".
I love this, so simple (borderline obvious) but I do need to tell myself things like this more.

Thanks JoJo. Thanks all your positive vibes and have a lovely weekend yourself.;)
A good day, busy again. Work is not easy but it is rewarding and I am lucky to have a job I enjoy.
Other than work I submitted 2 inquiry forms re PPI.
I sent an email re a meeting to discuss a new private venture in 2018.:)
I spent £10 on lunch and coffees and a piece of cake. Crazy behaviour, especially when I am almost overdrawn.:o
I phoned and checked I was still in credit and not at risk of going overdrawn.
Pay day soon. I will be in the 4,000s but if I scrimped a little, along with a few hundred due from teaching I could be in the 3,000s and that would be so nice. Not sure because this month has been tight. If I do it I will have to make this month a game with lots of NSDs and YS shopping and focus on the gym to keep my spirits up.
I might join the turtle challenge for November to keep me on track. I can then splurge a little in the lead-up to Christmas.
I’ll have to think about it some more and draw up a budget for the month to see where I am
One things for sure I will buy a kettle and some eyeshadow. Priorities
Happy weekend everyoneIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Morning campers,
I am setting a £10 budget for food for next week. I fortunately have lots of tea and coffee and eggs so this is achievable. Lunches will be leftovers and breakfasts will be scrambled eggs and salsa. Off to soak some beans…;)
Smoky black beans with cauliflower rice, salsa, and avocado
Smoked fish, a fried egg, black bean burger and salsa and greens.
Ham salad
Egg fried quinoa
Ham and lentil soup
Black bean burger with tahini lemon sauce and raw veggies
Thai veggies, cauliflower rice, quinoa
For the next week I have most of the above and I am trying to go very low on the shopping so I only need to buy:-
Coconut oil 2.50
Avocado 2
Fruit 2
Onions 50
[STRIKE]Tomatoes 2[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Frozen peas 1.50[/STRIKE]
Rocket 1
Clothes wash 2.00
£10 total spend :TIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
