I met a friend and we went to Tate Modern today. There is a room entirely made up of Rothko paintings and I always feel happy after seeing those paintings.
It is free. People come from all over the world to see the paintings and we can see them for free.
I spent £6.50 on lunch and a coffee. I had black beans and rice in Leon. I’ve looked up the ingredients to see how they made them. It is a super cheap and meat-free meal I will be definitely be recreating.:)
I went to L1dl to spend my £5 off a £30 shop voucher. I carried the shopping rather than get a taxi with the £5 saved
I have had an active bank holiday weekend with lots of socialising. I have enjoyed it, but my constant gadding about has had a catastrophic affect on the house. It is beyond disastrous. There are some areas that right now I cannot change such as the outside of the house, kitchen and bathroom but I can do the garden and make the rooms that are nice clean and tidy. Sadly I seem unmotivated to do even that. Must do better. Will do better.
Starting to realise my dream of reducing to 4 days a week once I am debt free is just that, a dream. I will need to keep working full-time for the whole of 2018 to do all the things I need to do on the house.
Tomorrow I am WFH in the morning so I will use the early morning to get a grip.
I hope you enjoyed your bank holiday weekend readerIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I previously did 90 percent of full time hours over 4 days. Might be worth considering if you can do it. Hmmm don't panic DIA, you're doing really well. Debt free, mortgage free and with the house sorted by the end of next year sounds pretty impressive to me.

I work a 4 day compressed week, best decision I ever made. Have only been doing it for 2 months , but I love my Friday off. It makes me feel like my wind down to retirement, which is still some way off. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thank you lovely people for taking the time to post comments. I appreciate it.
I am going to look at compressed hours whilst also accepting that a) I am hard on myself and in reality I am doing well and b) even if I work F/T for another year so I can improve and repair my house it may not be so bad.
I have a head-holding toothache today. It is the same tooth that always gives me trouble. I dislike the idea of losing any teeth of course but I think this one will have to go. My appendix 8 years ago, and now a tooth, I hate losing parts of me even when they have gone bad.
Tesco Mobile has got back to me and they have finally closed my account and given me £20 in compensation. :T I still think they are have appalling customer service and I won’t be using them again.
The support of the lovely people on here has made me less anxious when dealing with bureaucratic organisations. I feel less anxious about nasty letters demanding money. So far my complaint letters have awarded me £270 in a year and the issues have all been resolved. I just go through the complaints system. I would not have done that a few years ago but debt free diaries have made me stronger. Thank you.
I am making inroads into the chaos here at home despite WFH today:
Three lots of washing done and on line drying
Two lots of dishes done and packed away

A training course yesterday.
I spent £2.75 on coffee and a single chocolate and then £5.65 on sushi that I ate on the train home as it was a long day and I succumbed. I did not eat on getting home so that was my supper although I accept it was an unnecessary spend. I posted a small parcel that cost me £5.05. A TOTAL OF £13.40 spent today.
This whole week I have felt like ‘calling time’ and cancelling an appointment or booking a day off but so far I have not.
Being out all bank holiday weekend has made this week unsustainable. The house and garden are still absolute tips and the flylady shiny sink and washed dishes are a distant dream
Next week I am WFH for the whole week so I should be able to make real inroads into all the mess. I am feeling overwhelmed again so I am not going to schedule anything in for my two free days on Sunday and Monday.
I am up early and I am prepping food to pack up for work as I have a busy day plus teaching and I don’t want to overspend on food and drink, or eat unhealthily
I spend when I am disorganised so I need to get back in line quickly
Have a good day reader. I hope it is sunny for youIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.
