Thanks. I will check further.0

It has been over ten days now and the message get when I retrieve my application still stays they are working on it and will get back to me WITHIN two days. I guess it's time to ring them. :sigh:0

I've got an account set up ready to switch, with direct debits.
The 1st direct debits come out on the 18/02/16 so will be applying and switching on 19/02/16.0 -
I joined Yorkshire Bank in Nov in order to get their £150 incentive. I did have to chase them up via Facebook but pleased to report that on day 65 since switching I have the £150 in my account. I did find their social media team very polite and called back when promised. However I am afraid Yorkshire Bank are somewhat in the stone ages compared to other banks, for example their online banking and mobile app is so so dated.0

Mrandrewsmith, what did you count as day one?
As I said, I made my application by phone before the offer closed last November, but the date of my first deposit was 12 December, I.e. by the time all the paperwork came through and I was able to pay in.
So I reckon I have passed 65 days, if that is what the offer was.0 -
I was told by the YB social media team that they class day one as the first day your account switch is complete from the other bank.0

I finally decided to ring them about my application today. (I applied on 28/01/16).
They still haven't made a decision and now want me to take photo ID into any bank for certification and then send them a scanned copy. Once they receive this they will make a decision.
Seems very odd, has anyone else had this?

That is an alternative to asking you to go to a Yorkshire Bank Branch which probably will be many miles away from where you live or rejecting your application completely based on Yorkshire Bank own internal ID scoring.
When I was turned down on an earlier campaign due to Y.Bank internal ID scoring I asked if I could post ID to them, answer I got was "No" as they dont do postal applications.0 -
Yes, I am aware there are no branches down south and am very pleased to have the option of a local bank. But, I have never had to submit ID before without it being a final step to an otherwise acceptable application. That wasn't the impression I got from the chap on the phone. (I asked if it would go ahead once they had it - the answer was that they needed it to consider the application).0
