Not available to anyone who already had a YB or CB switch bonus since 17 November 2014If you have already taken advantage of a previous £150 switching offer from us, either on your own or with a joint account, since the 17th of November 2014, you can’t benefit from this offer.

Job jobbed.
My credit report would make interesting reading for the last few weeks.
Opened at least a dozen accounts recently.0 -

Haha-same here.
Was half expecting Yorkshire Bank to decline me :rotfl:It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
The offer is open to existing customers, but does
3. Register for and activate online or mobile banking within 2 months of your switch completing
rule out anyone who already has online or mobile banking, or is it just poor phrasing?Eco Miser

those were the 'happy times'.
Is it worth keeping all these YB/CB accounts. Read somewhere on here that other places do not accept these donor accounts for switching0 -

This time around, wholly online application, accepted.
Hi bristolleedsfan - how long did you wait after the initial rejection before successfully applying online?
I applied online last November to YB and was rejected. I have opened and switched many accounts over the years and I had never been rejected before then. I checked my credit file after the rejection and there was nothing wrong with it.
I called YB last week to open a current account over the phone and switch a donor account in order to benefit from the new offer, but I was told that I have to wait 6 months after a rejection before I can apply again...I was wondering whether this is actually true?
Thanks a lot0 -
@ Erwin
During the last offer period I applied a few times to Y.B/Clydesdale Bank within a short period of time on 1 occasion had email stating "congratulations", I was subsequently informed it had been sent in error and on other occasion telephone advisor did the ID check more than once. Y.Bank wouldnt entertain ID being sent to them by post.
I was informed that it was internal ID score that Y Bank were applying as opposed to failing on ID score received from Credit Check, from memory they were using Noodle at the time.
I always state No Overdraft when it is an option, key difference with wholly online application available now is that it is only for those who dont want an overdraft.
At the end of the application I was asked some ID questions relating partly to information that Y.Bank had gleaned from its credit search source. e.g Last May, "was the successful current account application made in single or joint names"
My previous applications were made very early during previous offer period, probably over 6 Months ago.
If I was you I would try and apply before this offer period closes, once decision has been made to approve account opening, a link was sent by text to mobile phone, after logging into link given, opportunity was then given to give existing account details for switch and set up online details etc thus very quick process once online application is approved which was within two days.
During previous offer period, Y.Bank advisors suggested I applied in person to a branch, 80 Mile round trip away, taking ID etc whick kinda rules out the "6 month wait" information you received.0
