Is TalkTalk broadband good in Basildon? I plan to sign up, is it a good company? I 've heard some bad reviews...

Tell me an overview of the bad reviews, what is the problem and is it as bad as Sky? I have heard bad reviews about Sky too, but it's decent here.0

If you google talktalk reviews you will find plenty to read through. But don't forget, most people only post online when there is an issue and not when things are going smoothly. All ISPs will have negative reviews around the internet.0 -
My parents are on the other side of London and don't post online, but they are with talktalk and their 16Mbps ADSL connection with TalkTalk is much slower (low throughput, high latency) than mine with a different ISP when my connection was ADSL at 3Mbps. All due to talktalk underprovisioning their links to save money.
But people buy on price so I expect acutally talktalk is a really great dealand they probably bundle in vouchers, TV channels and possibly even the kitchen sink, so who cares if it's actually a rubbish ISP? It's cheap, so therefore must be the best.

The issues with TT are that it's cheap, and that is reflected in poor offshore CS. When it works it's fine, but when you get a billing or technical issue, you find out why it's so cheap.
Your exchange, Basildon, is irrelevant-you'll be on the same local loop whether you use TT, Sky or anyone else. What are your other LLU options? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
