I have a co-operative bank account sat doing nothing, so I've just opted in. I was surprised to be immediately put through to a customer service representative because I thought they might be busy.
FOUR direct debits a month is a big ask. The T&Cs don't say they must be to different organisations, so I'd guess four PayPal/Tesco direct debits would be good enough. But they have to pay out every month to qualify for the direct debit:6.3.5 at least four Direct Debits must be paid from the Nominated Account during that Calendar Month:0 -
Thanks for this OP. I've added 2 DDs from my co-op current account to my Tesco savings accounts to take me up to 4 DDs and that's me sorted.
It took me 7 minutes on the phone, but at least a couple of minutes was me failing to navigate the automated phone menu0 -
Thanks. All registered0

Thanks for the heads-up! I was meeting all the criteria anyway, so might as well get paid a little for it (or rather, get a discount on the monthly fee, as it's a Privilege Premier account).Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
I currently have the Tesco Internet Saver and Tesco Instant Access Savings accounts so would need another 2 Direct Debits to make this work.
Can someone just explain how the paypal direct debits work to make a total of 4 direct debits.
My current paypal setup is for all transactions to go onto the credit card, which is then paid in full each month by a direct debit with Santander.0 -
Anyone tried setting up more than one monthly pull into same Tesco savings account?0

I doubt that the Co-op would count that as a separate DD. Rather, it would be the same DD, just paying more frequently than monthly.
I don't think there's anything to stop you having four different Tesco savings accounts though, all taking a DD once a month.0 -

Yep sorry I meant to add whether anyone had managed to do this as two separate mandates.0 -
