Hello all. I have been so busy for the last couple of weeks trying to get back to normality after Christmas. Everything is a lot straighter now
I love Christmas but hate the faff of getting everything put back in the loft and how empty the house looks.
Diabetes clinic at the hospital are really pleased with me and have discharged me back to GP care and I have to go for another lot of blood tests and see the Diabetic nurse at the surgery. I had to admit to being very naughty over Christmas and the New Year, but they shrugged it off and said it is fine as long as you go back to what you were doing before.
Very sad news about David Bowie, I was really shocked to wake to that news this morning RIP:(
I was lucky enough to see the Ziggy Stardust tour in 1972 for the princely sum of 60p, those were the days and beer was 10p a pint

I loved him in Labyrinth as the Goblin King too

I have very eclectic music tastes from soul, reggae, rock. pop and opera can't stand rap though. I suppose it was growing up imn the sixties and seventies when there was such a wide range of musicBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Evening all
It's going to be a long day today, I snoozed briefly on the sofa about 3ish, but hubby is at work until gone 10 tonight. I shall carry on with my crochet this evening.
Hubby is a Bowie fan, but then he's younger than me, still sad to hear that he's gone.

Good evening all! Been a busy day and so didn't manage to post earlier than today. Decided today was a NSD with hard up hesters advice! Toddler group was even less than I thought -£1 only! Quite exhausted and DS is being quite hard work. He's not enjoying school at the moment:-(
I also love the Archers and am very interested how rob and Helens relationship is going to pan out - not well I think. Got a couple of episodes to catch up on so I think I'll do that tonight as DH is out (and he can't bear it!).Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000 -
Message for Rosie the Labrador.
Ask your Mum Lainey to buy you some P£digree JointCare+ treats. They're delicious, I have one every morning with my breakfast, and they have Green Lipped Mussel and Glucosamine in, so they're good for achey joints.
Lots of wuff,
Jessie Labrador. xIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Rosie sends lots of licks and love to Jessie and to say that my Mum has now put those treats on her shopping list, happy woof x0

Good evening everyone,
Hugs to everyone, it was sad to hear the news of David Bowie this morning, I wasn't a big fan but did like some of his music.
I've been to work today, we have a new menu, which we're struggling with a bit as there is so much extra to think of. We now have 5 different puddings to choose from each day:eek: so lots of prep.
I'm feeling really tired today, as I spent all of yesterday doing the housework and washing and ironing. I think I need to do more of the household chores during the week, so that I can have a bit of a rest at the weekend and do something that I want to do.
I have a meal plan for the week and am determined to stick to it this week. Tonight we had sweet potato and chickpea curry, with a baked apple sponge for pudding, which was really nice and everyone enjoyed it, and there are no leftovers:(
Have a good evening everyone x.SPC 11 #4450 -

I have been an Archers fan since a little girl and never miss an episode if I can help it I have it on my TiVo box recording the Sunday episode every week in case I am out.But normally I am listening to it every Sunday morning at 10.15 whilst prepping my veg for the week.I too find it very clever how poor Helen is insidiously being controlled by Rob and I think things will only get worse. He has now virtually taken over her life ,but in such a way that she feels as though its her fault all the time when things go wrong he is definitely a wrong 'un. She really doesn't have a lot of luck with men at all does she0
