I'm a heated airer person too, but if you don't do masses of washes maybe you wouldn't use the big one often enough to make it worth it. And they are quite fragile-seeming so perhaps the cats would be able to knock it over. I just put a sheet over mine, and wouldn't buy the expensive cover for it. A sheet keeps the warmth in just fine and because my OH likes to keep the heating very low it makes the room a little bit warmer, and also makes it smell nicely of lovely clean laundry :)
If not the airer I'd go for the black magic liner for base of oven, and Easiyo (but they sometimes have them cheaply so I'd wait till they do. I make yoghurt in it but not with the packets, just a small pot of yog as starter and UHT milk - see the threads on here if you're interested). Good baking tins if you bake, brilliant range of cleaning cloths of all sorts. Also big boxes of poly bags in various sizes, and wonderfully strong kitchen foil. What a kind Mum, and a nice 'problem' to have !
