There heated blankets look glorious. We have a cheap one from argos which we love in winter months but I'd love one of their big fluffy ones.
I got the Lofti clothes airer from the in laws for Xmas and love that too. I have a small house and it means I can air laundry over the bath (we have a separate shower anyway so don't stand in the bath on the rare occasion we use it), whack the dehumidifier on and everything dries overnight out of the way.0 -
Yet another vote for the heated airer. I bought one for my son as a present as he didn't really have anywhere to dry clothes in his flat. He was a bit bemused but went with it anyway. Less than 24 hours and two loads of washing later, he was raving about it! I was so impressed with it that I later bought one for myself, and got rid of the tumble dryer. It folds flat for storage.
I also like their baking tins, their foil, and their professional oven gloves - I'm now on my third pair!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.

And another "heated airer" vote! we've had ours for about three years; there are 7 adults living here and it's in use a lot of the time, and has saved us a fortune on tumble-drying costs when the weather's wet.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

My best buys from Lakeland are Hangaway£28.99. Brilliant. I hang the wet shirts. t.shirts and trousers from it. Dries well in the house in winter and uses no electric. I also hang the ironing on it. A x3 prong thing that folds down small.
Next would be the black oven mat. Brilliant again as it lasts years. Put in the bottom of the oven and can be taken out to was away any spills in the sink.
12 hook ups £2.99 - prevents hangers slipping and sliding on the line.

they do a nice range of cake tins and flavourings if baking interest you, i got an excellent hand held mixer from their and am eyeing up a kitchen aid when funds allow
i purchased a heated airer and find it ok but wont buy another when it goes westonwards and upwards0 -
Another vote for the heated airer, I've had mine a couple of years and wouldn't be without it.
The cake tins are really good too.Sealed Pot Challenge member 28

Hi All,
Sorry for the delay in responding, my internet's a little hit and miss atm.
It seems people are really into the heated airer - out of interest, is this something you'd go for in a flat as a single person?
I probably only average three small loads every 2 weeks, and I'm wondering if this would be worth the space. Plus I'm wondering if it'll be safe if my cats decide to take an interest.
I'm considering this one: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/21736/Heated-Tower-Airer Mostly because of the third picture looking more stable, but I'm wondering if it'll be worth the cost to me.
More feedback would be appreciated.
As for other bits, I've decided to pick up a new mixing bowl, and I'm thinking about a couple of pudding basins. Plus I'm dithering between a glass teapot or a stove top expresso maker for mum to say thank you (she's previously mentioned wanting both). And I might pick up a pack of yogurt starters for those days I don't have any live yogurt in to use and don't want to track to the shops.
I guess if I buy the towel airer, that would leave me around £30-40, and I have a friend who's just bought a new house to move in with her partner. Assuming nothing screams perfect gift, I'll likely give them the remainder as a house warming present. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

I have that airer. http://www.lakeland.co.uk/21736/Heated-Tower-Airer I also have a very warm utility room with a humidity controlled vent and am now on my own. I used the airer a lot when there were two of us, nowadays I can get my single bedding and everything else dry very quickly on lines set up in my utility room. If I didn`t have such a utility room then I would recommend the airer 110%. I store it against a wall on the landing and it is useful, even when not plugged in, for airing and for hanging items after ironing
I also have the hangaway and that is also a very useful item. I particularly like mine when I have visitors, I stand it up in their room, with a couple of coat hangers. In between it just tucks away into a very narrow space0
