lakeland - what's best value?

Evening all.

Thanks to my mother being the most wonderful person on the planet, I've got £200 of lakeland gift vouchers. :j

I've already got a remoska, and don't really need a big appliance on the surface (mixer etc), so I'm wondering if you'll share some of the things on your wishlist or that you're really pleased you bought?

What's best value, what can you only get from LL, what would you buy?

Thankies all... (and thankies again Mum)
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Wow, your mum really is generous! Keep an eye on the expiry date, though.

I have personally never been able to source a bargain from Lakeland. Everything is over-priced, even as sale time, and I can get equivalent quality elsewhere for less so would be interested in the responses on this thread.

I love my heated clothes airer, really good quality and used pretty much every day, not necessarily switched on. They now, I believe sell a cover for it, which is great as I use a king size duvet cover to put over it to keep the heat in when switched on.

I read numerous posts on Old Style about their heated airers, the cost is quite high but it was a very good purchase. My 2 eldest daughters have them now in their own homes as they used mine all the time and they said it were good
Purchased the cover a few months ago, again pricey but needed as it dries quicker

I was thinking about the heated aired but the online reviews are mixed. Then I bought one from Aldi a while back and was disappointed that it didn't work. I don't know if it was a fault with the model, or just the one I bought.

As others have mentioned, the outlay is high, but the running cost is low.

Another vote for the heated airer.

I paid around 95 for the three tier one a couple of years ago, best money I've ever spent. it costs 5p an hour to run, and takes the chill off my conservatory which doesn't have heating in.

Never had a problem with it, its used at least three times a week.

This is my wish list for Lakeland. Ist an electric blanket Second would be a remoska which you already have. Third would be a steam cleaner and if any money left I would buy a really good kettle and toaster or coffee machine. They also very good microfiber cloths which would last for years. Enjoy spending your vouchers what a great Mum you have.

  • Probably the cheapest, and the most useful, item I've ever bought at Lakeland, at £1.99.

No more burnt fingers getting crumpets, burger buns and potato cakes out of the toaster. :)

I've been really impressed with their non-stick baking tins. We bought a large flat one a few weeks back for cooking oven chips on. It's the best tin we've ever bought. Easy to keep clean, and doesn't warp during cooking. Not very exciting perhaps, but we'd definitely buy another if it ever needs replacing. http://www.lakeland.co.uk/70170/Lakeland-Multi-Purpose-Oven-Tray

We've also just bought these http://www.lakeland.co.uk/8827/Mega-Pegs

They are great for clipping your beach towel to your sunlounger when you're on holiday. Not used them ourselves yet, but have seen them used by friends several times when we've been away and have finally got our own. Not hugely expensive as you can see.
