  • Thanks for the kind words Mumof2 - here's hoping for a better night and no nightmares.

Re the house - I really do agree with the others and think you should keep the house as a bolthole - it sounds like your little sanctuary which may well be needed in times ahead. I am thinking of you. I don't know how old your children are but my parents argued continuously from me being around 6yo to when they divorced when I was 10. I moved schools a lot and coped just fine - kiddies are a trillion times more resilient than they let on sometimes. Here holding your hand xx

School run done, post office done, now need to do at least 4 hours of work - no idea when DH will be home from work *sigh*. Kiddies watching Toy Story and i'll dish up a gourmet dinner for them shortly - all courtesy of Captain Birds Eye *sneaks off to collect bad mother of the year award*..........

Suppose I should go do food.... *yyyaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwn*

I have done absolutely nothing today.. hopefully I can persuade OH to buzz off to the gym in the morning so I can get something productive done in the house.

I guess I could force myself to load the DW.. and rejig the airer while I do food... maybe... :p

Dilemma-time here: I have to visit Dr S tomorrow, and get a steroid injection. I can only have one per visit. Do I opt for my left wrist (dominant hand), thereby getting back more useful function, or my right wrist (the more painful) thereby alleviating more pain? Not by any means a big deal compared to the carp some Flyfriends are enduring, but I can't make up my mind; and Dr S will leave the choice to me.
LW, I think that pain is generally more debilitating than we are prepared to admit, and coping with pain certainly tires me me out. If you opt for your right wrist now, how soon afterwards could you have the left one done?

I did try to make my phonecall this morning but couldn't get through to the right person. It was only to unsubscribe from an email newsletter, but the log-in doesn't work properly. Now I’ve decided it will take less time and stress to delete each newsletter as it comes than to keep trying to get through to an apparently non-existent membership department

I finished my prep and cooked lunch. One email I sent earlier has generated a response, but gives me a further dilemma. Hey ho.

DH decided to take himself off to see Star Wars this afternoon - not my cup of tea, and anyway I was beginning to wilt again. Now I've had a sit-down, got my second wind and plan to prepare chips for tea, ready to cook as soon as he comes in, and then get on with typing up the meeting notes.

LW - I would go for the more painful wrist.

    Catch you all tomorrow.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Hi
Haven't been posting as not much to say but have been trying to at least get to level 1 or part of each day. Off out now so today is finished for me, will be home late. Also away for 3 days last week so will continue tomorrow and hopefully will start to see some progress soon.

Thank you. My 2 are 13 and 9. We haven't been arguing too badly at all but certain things are triggers - mainly his hoarding tendencies - which is why I am hoping Relate will pick up on that on Friday and he'll be referred for some help.

I would go for pain relief and have the worst one done LW.

Just throwing a veggie lasagne together, s&sed the kitchen while I'm in there. And lounge is still looking good, just needed a quick sweep through after my sewing stint this morning.

    Hi All

I am feeling a little better than earlier in the week.

CY - good on you for getting the appointment sorted

Pigpen - hope you get the requested feedback and they act on it

Crowdpleaser - sorry it is not good news on the job front. Hopefully J!!! will come up with some extra hours.

Frizzle - enjoy your maternity leave

LW - I don't do pain, so the most painful wrist gets my vote

Mumof2 - hope the appointment with Relate brings some answers

Monday - Living / Family Room - Still work in progress
    Level 1
Back to basics, grab a couple of bags / boxes and gather everything that doesn't belong in this room.
    Level 2
    Dust from top to bottom.
Vac everywhere, use the tools to get between those sofa seat pads only moving furniture if you can do so safely.

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room It was all done, but now looks a pit again as cooker had to pulled out to fix a problem and DH could not fix it so got to get another man in

Wednesday - Bathrooms & PC / Study area Still work in progress. Main bathroom done, ensuite to do when I get home
Clean the sink, taps and grotty plugholes
Toilets! Don’t forget the outside! (Of the toilet, not the outside toilet )
Clear that cluttered windowsill or shelf
Back to bathroom, clean the bath / shower
    Mop the floor

    Extras:
Collect dirty towels and replace with fresh ones
Clean the fan / air vent
Do you need to replace the toothbrushes? We all got new ones from Father Christmas :rotfl:

Just going back to last week's posts when you were all talking about hiding from the Gas Man, I have a story about my one.
20+ years ago my brothers boiler needed servicing but he could not get the day off so I stayed in all day for him.
Gas man turned up dark hair, blue twinkly eyes and a lovely bum.

The same same gas man tells people we met when he turned up to service an old boiler and now he is married to her.:rotfl:

He still has the same twinkly blue eyes and lovely bum, but the hair is not so dark or visible;)

    Afternoon folks

Gws vibes for all the poorlies and posi-vibes and hugs all round.

Bossy - pleased that you enjoyed your first class
Iona - glad the headache's receded
Mumof2 - I agree with others that you should keep the house for now. It will give you time to get it sorted and time to think things through. Feb is not a good time to sell - it's better around April.
CY - good news you have an appointment quickly. Fingers xd all is okay
Frizzle - enjoy your mat leave
Crowdpleaser - sorry to hear about the job - maybe another 'door' will soon open for you
LW - I agree that I think it's best to ease the pain, as that will make you feel generally better in yourself
YL - hope you managed to sort your 'taxi' service okay

    Wednesday - Bathroom
Clean the sink, taps and grotty plugholes
Toilets! Don’t forget the outside! (Of the toilet, not the outside toilet ;)
    )
Clear that cluttered windowsill or shelf
Back to bathroom, clean the bath / shower
    Mop the floor
    Extras:

Clean the fan / air vent

I have just thrown a potato, cheese and onion bake in the cooker and will have baked beans with it. I do a couple of burgers for DH as well.

Thanks for your input folks; I think you're right, go for easing more pain. Ionafan it'll be at least a month til I can go again if at all - it depends if Mr LW's work health plan will continue paying; they've funded me for over a year now, and there will come a time when they say "no more".

    Off to start dins now.;)
