Sounds like a lot of hugs needed, so help yourself.
I have so far put the wm on
Read the meters and submitted meter readings on line, checking the various graphs available. Seems we use 61% less electricity than similar households - great news so the solar panels work - and I can't remember but about 9% less gas. That would be about right as we are hard to compare, not having a boiler like most people. And the gas range(which does the heating) has been on more in the last year.

Paperwork and report templates ready for the week.
Had a quick look for exercises using Pilates bands as I bought 3 in A1d1 yesterday for £2.47. Mr N looked a bit alarmed when he saw them!!

Now there's nothing for it but to get that tax return underway.

Mumof2, having the house means you've got a bolthole if you need it. Very important while things are unsettled and I echo Pigpen's commonsense.

Thanks for the update, Narco. (((Hugs))) for Dusty.

Fabulous day here but rain due later so I'm finishing drying the last of three massive loads I did on Monday and I'll put the last two loads on tonight when the rain has gone through overnight. First time I'll have cleared the washing since well before Christmas.

And I'll Dyson the top layer because it's knee deep in Kelpie fluff and then crack on with very overdue writing and other assorted desk work. At last.
    Better is good enough.

Well, managed to procrastinate by hanging out the washing, cleaning toilet and washbasin, putting anything away that was in the wrong place in the bathroom and folding/putting away some dry washing.

Now sitting between a coffee and my box of finance stuff. It's not as if I find doing tax returns unpleasant; I quite like it really.

I'm sure, as it will be probably the last of a couple of years since I went freelance that I'm expecting a rebate!

Anyway I have been through the finance box, filed anything which should be under next year and binned a curious number of leaflets from the Gardening Exhibition.....goodness knows how they got there!! Shows my "piles" of paper are intermingling despite being in various trays and boxes. I will not get sidetracked by checking how much the tray-holding cabinet costs; I have one for my assessment materials and I have to say it is really good. But I may not actually need the number of trays I have......

Off to change now as I'm due at uni for 1pm. But I feel happy I have made a start.

  • Today I have bitten the bullet and phoned the hospital. After listening to me and consulting with someone I have an appointment on Monday at 2.30.

Initially there were no free appointments until Monday week, so someone has listened to my concerns and considers them valid...
