So far it seems that you have BTL`s, are buying more because the yields are, "fabulous" was it? :rotfl:but don`t know or care how Brexit will affect your supply of tenants, or even give two hoots about immigration, AND take economic/investment advice from the BBC! Remind me never to come to one of your investment/BTL seminars :rotfl: BTL was built on immigration and the supply of cheap credit, Brexit, problems in the credit markets and the government desire to make BTL/property in general a tax target are the biggest changes to your business since it started, time to wake up and start paying more attention IMO.....:rotfl:

The European Union would be hit harder than the U.K. if Britain faced trade barriers following its decision to leave the bloc, according to a study published Friday.
About 5.8 million jobs are linked to trade with Britain, while only 3.6 million British posts are dependent on exports to the EU, policy analyst Civitas said in a report. The EU also has a greater proportion of its labor market at stake.

Civitas said that 3.2 percent of all German jobs are linked to exports to the U.K, whereas only 2.4 percent of British jobs are reliant on Germany. Almost one in 10 jobs in Ireland, Malta, Cyprus, and Belgium are connected to trade with the U.K.

Didn't mean to to touch a nerve. Just intrigues me when people express such distinct political opinions when they don't even live in the country. Therefore are remote from what ordinary people feel and experience.

If you can point to any of my postings that suggest I am (remote) out of touch from what ordinary people feel and experience then do so. I suggest that you and I are just as much out of touch as in touch.
Frankly if the posters on this thread had to be qualified to express the opinions they do perhaps there would be a lot less postings.
I can hold an opinion and express that opinion about Brexit as I took part in the vote and am effected by it. I am interested in your phrase "distinct political opinions" what ever does that mean in respect of my postings.
As an inteligent person Thrugelmir you should welcome input to this debate from as many people as possible you don't have to agree with them.
I live in Luxembourg (just look to the left of this post) this gives me a unique perspective on Brexit.
    You live where?
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

    An excerpt from Peter Lilly's Brexit template;

Continuing tariff-free trade (plus passporting of financial services) is only negotiable...

Not much open in the way of negotiating according to Schulz today in terms of City deals.
Faisal Islam No City deal without FoM says Schulz: "I refuse to imagine a Europe where lorries/hedge funds are free to cross borders but citizens cannot"
Faisal IslamEU leaders in Council & Parliament clearly think UK will compromise on FoM as needs full Single Market trade advantages for City/ cars/ FDI
Faisal Islam Schulz: "I leave London with the perception that the Government is unsure how and when to trigger Article 50"

And for what it's worth I think May's dithering isn't doing the Tory party any favours. Johnson's on the rise again.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

    Jobs in finance anyone?
    http://uk.businessinsider.com/ippr-report-on-brexit-impact-on-finance-job-vacancies-2016-9

"London saw a 13.6% drop in job adverts, including for administrators, managers, and chief executives.

"This is striking as it is the only year in the past four where this trend has occurred," the IPPR said.

The number of people applying for finance jobs in Dublin rose by 800%, according to staffing and recruitment firm Manpower."

Please dismiss this as bias and miss reporting please.

Quality of life is about more than relentless high growth numbers. Things like us being unable to be food secure, and the relentless pressure to produce higher crop and livestock yields with all it's downsides, just don't register on those with nothing but money on their mind.

Each evening now I see cats in the field behind me pouncing on wildlife, forever depositing their kills of song birds, bats, grass snakes and whatever else they can kill. 15 years ago when less people lived round here things were in balance. More planes in the sky roaring away, more fumes on the roads, longer journeys, it all adds to a sense of casual ruination.

We have too many Humans, not a shortage of the damned things

    this is absolute nonsense

humans are by far the most important species on the planet

your efforts to try and muddy the water with 'it aint all about the mo-nay' is a good try but all it really does is distance your own mind from the truth

the UK should consider joining the EU’s banking union (membership of which is open to countries that are not part of the eurozone), even as it withdraws from the bloc.

One of the greatest problems for business, investors and anybody seeking to understand the world is distinguishing real, relevant events from useless, misleading background noise.
