If we vote for Brexit what happens?

    - Consumer confidence hits three-year low
    - UK’s largest estate agent issues Brexit earnings warning
    - Lloyds slashes thousands of jobs ahead of slowdown
    - Carmakers, surveyors and retailers sound the alarm

Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Technically that is exactly what they voted for (if that is where we end up). The referendum was a yes/no question about whether or not to remain in the EU and nothing more. The problem is that many Leave voters attached more meaning to it, such as "less immigration", even though there was no manifesto to reduce immigration for a Leave vote...

Except it would be political suicide to ignore immigration......

Not as a result of "anticipated interest rates cuts following Brexit" they didn't....

And as I recall many/most of the 2014 cuts were overseas.

you mis-remember : clearly 'remain' is damaging a lot of brain and memory cells.

Eh? Is the Guardian making this up then? Are they supposed to remain silent when our country slides into a deep recession?

But okay, let's throw in The Express for balance.
More than 50,000 people took an exclusive poll by Express.co.uk last week which asked: “One month on from the EU referendum, how do you feel?”

The results were decisive, with 71 per cent of people saying they felt “hopeful and positive”, while just 19 per cent were “fearful and concerned” and ten per cent “uncertain”

An exclusive poll by the Express, on the Express website, polling Express readers. Here's your balance. :rotfl:

Remain lost, Brexit won, please remind me, what did you win us again?

Seriously what did you win us again in a few sentences. I need to be convinced so do so. Get me on side.

Promising a referendum turned out to be political suicide for Cameron, so anything is possible!
To err is human, but it is against company policy.

First I have to say that the web site this comes from seems a little crazy.

However the point that is made is that the man Appointed by Mr Juncker to lead the out negotiations is a clever, Inteligent, tough guy. Well educated and a trained diplomat and negotiator.
He takes up his appointment on October 1st.
He will have plenty of time and considerable resources to assemble a powerful team in readiness for the beginning of the process.

I only hope we have a better team.

Except he's an MEP not a commissioner. This is the guy that really counts

You used to be better than this C....

If you're going to now spend the next few years denying the obvious it'll get a bit tedious in a distinctly geneer kind of way.

Why not just accept the economic fallout from Brexit as it happens with good grace and then make a case for why you think it's all worth it anyway?

Rates were going to stay low anyway. You can get 10 year mortgages for around 2.7%. The bank jobs are going because people do their banking on line. There are branch closures throughout the EU. But then you know this and are simply using Brexit as the excuse. Same old.

Yes there will be short term pain for long term gain but that's no reason to allow ignorant posters get away with blaming everything on Brexit and constantly looking for the negative.
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.
