I don't care, I don't work for amazon, but I think its clear they should be able to do what they want, and whats it got to do with this thread what amazon do?

i think it ties in with the whole theme of people being charged to park at their place of work

I think some here are treating this subject as if the majority of people pay to park at work when i suspect the majority don't pay to park at work

Good grief - that has to be less than bus fairs to and from work even when the run. You don't know when you are well off - I thought my parking was reasonable, and I pay £30 a week. I could only wish for £180 a year. I think you need to consider redefining what you think a concession is, because by any standard applicable in the real world, you have a damn good concession on parking.

i must be in the wrong website

I thought this website was about saving as much money as possible

how much more should the hospital charge me then?

    What are the staff rates?
    What are the public rates?

    What do you pay?

Who do you expect to pay to subsidise your parking?

You are free to ask for a concession on the already very reasonable rate. You are free to ask to wear a pink tutu to work if you are so inclined.

They are free to say no.

    Does that answer your question?

But the OP has already asked the employer for increased pay, concessions on working BH's, argued about pay rise, fallen out with union, raised grievances etc etc etc - don't suspect the employer will allow the pink tutu :rotfl:

Don't feed it - look back through the OP's history and see the trend

The attutudude I'm getting is that "we pay more than you - so you should not try to save any money"

Think it's quite clear you got the opposite, go try, and report back, but I wouldn't rely on that guidance as it doesn't apply to you

    Everyone gets a concession.

there is no requirement ot then give EXTRA concessions to sub groups.

I have seen parking priced on salary at least one hospital.

Looking forward to the list of issues with your next job, given the problems you have with this one it is not for you.

I understand that if you work in Nottingham you pay a charge called the Work Place Parking Levy as well as paying to park in the NHS staff car parks. The levy is to fund the tram system in Nottingham so the OP should think himself lucky to only pay 180 pounds.
All employees whose employers employ more than a dozen or so staff and who provide parking have to pay a percentage of salary to park.
    Stalinist era has returned.

I've been doing the same job for ten years - so I must be doing some things right
