I am lucky to pay £6 a day, and get in almost 2 hrs before I need to, to get a space. if I dont, the next cheapest is something like £16 a day.

I agree with Kynthia. Seriously OP, do you really think you should be subsidised further for parking? And should that subsidy be funded by the NHS? My husband pays £350 for train travel to get to work, so your £15 a month is minuscule! Next you'll be wanting to expense your petrol and maintenance of your car...

them he should live closer to where he works

£350 a month doesnt mean he is going a massive distance......I work a mere 28 miles from home in the nearest big city, and I couldn't get there for £350....

I see now where you have got this muddled up.

You allready get a concession as the hospital provides reasonable(as in dirt cheap) parking for ALL staff allready

It is going above and beyond the guidlines.

So concessions don't need to be applied in accordance with government guidelines based on your opinion of what is cheap parking

You see there is nothing in the guidelines that says concessions should not be applied where parking is dirt cheap - unless I'm not reading something between the lines

With people paying up to £5k a year, and more in some cases, in order to get crowded and uncomfortable trains and tube to work I don't think you have much to complain about. It sounds like you have a massively reduced fee there and are paying less a week tgan most pay to park for a few hours.

I don't force anyone to work a train jorneys distance from where they live

Well if you don't then there is even less reason why the guidelines you quoted should apply.

the guidelines do not differentiate between those that work for the nhs and those that work at the hospital
