Noddle and Experian eligibilty checker for credit cards unaccurate!!

I'm a member of each of these sites, and ive done a soft search for a credit card using the criteria checker.

Both sites i think came back stating There was only 10% chance i would get accepted and i think it was for an aqua card. I gave it a go and no surprise, i didn't get accepted.

However, on the barclaycard website i used their own criteria checker, and it came back at 9/10 chance being accepted.

This was this morning i put my application through so ive not heard back yet but how can this be possible? Surely noddle and experian should have shown me a 90% chance for getting the Barclaycard??

Only if Barclaycard take part in the MSE soft search. They may choose not to.

I was on about the noddle and experian soft search tools.

HOWEVER, as you mentioned there was a moneysavingexpert soft search tool i have used it, and it shows i have a 0% chance for the barclays initial credit card!!

What on earth!?

I wonder what they search for, i know they dont search for a credit card rating as such...

All my payments are up to date, i have previous satisfied defaults, but no outstanding defaults. I have many settled accounts, i am on the electerol roll, i was discharged from bankruptcy 3 and 1/2 years ago. I think that could be why ive got no chance of being accepted for any bad credit rating cards, but it still doesn't explain why barclays said ive got 9/10 chance. Strange.

It largely comes down to how much the provider is paying each of the companies. Results vary as they alternately outbid each other.

Still makes no sense to me. I'd atleast think that barclaycard would atleast show up with a percentage rather than 0%

I get declined with aqua card and capital one card on their own websites, both at 34.9% apr, yet on barclays own website they give me
A 9/10 chance. Very strange.

My experian credit report doesn't show my old bankruptcy, its gone, yet noddle and equifax show it, as discharged...

Could this be the fact barclaycard is search experian (with no shown bankruptcy) and the others use other credit scoring sites, which shows the discharged bankruptcy?

I have found barclaycard elegibility checker but be very innacurate, not only with me but also with family members and friends.
In my personal case, i was trying to get a second card (when it was allowed) and it kept saying that i had 9/10 chances of getting one. But it always been refused. I have helped other people to get credit cards as well and barclaycard was showing the same 9/10 but they have been refused. Only in one case it came accepted.

I have seen a few posts on this forum that Barclaycard has encouraged people on eligibility checks but has subsequently rejected applications.

I wouldn't get my hopes up from Barclaycard if I were you.

According to the barclaycard website they won't accept your for Barclaycard initial if you've had a bankruptcy in the last 6 years :-(
