I use these eligibility checkers and get 10% for most cards, highest mine goes to is 30%, credit reports are perfectly clean, on time payments on some credit accounts for the last 3 years, so god knows how you get the percentage to go up, it might be my lack of time on the electoral roll.

I wonder what they search for, i know they dont search for a credit card rating as such...

All my payments are up to date, i have previous satisfied defaults, but no outstanding defaults. I have many settled accounts, i am on the electerol roll, i was discharged from bankruptcy 3 and 1/2 years ago. I think that could be why ive got no chance of being accepted for any bad credit rating cards, but it still doesn't explain why barclays said ive got 9/10 chance. Strange.

I was waiting to be added to the electoral roll when I applied, I'm on it now but wasn't showing when I applied. So I don't think it's that. :(

Not sure from earlier posts how many actual applications you've made rather than soft searches, but worth bearing in mind that this becomes self-defeating after a while, i.e. the more applications you make, the less likely it is they'll succeed, as potential lenders can see the hard searches mounting up and draw their own conclusions....

I didn't apply for anything until 1month before my bankruptcy came off my credit file. You might have to give it more time. I was lucky with Barclaycard they only searched Equifax and for some reason the bankruptcy came off Equifax years ago, it was showing with experian and Cap One approved me immediately with £1500 limit I was expecting £200 at the most. It leads me to think they didn't search back the full 6 years!

Brandztheman do you have a BRU/BRO?

No i have completely discharged for 2 and a half years now.
My bankruptcy isnt showing 'at all' on experian for some reason. I applied for barclaycard, and i gave me 9/10 acceptancy, maybe then have checked through experian and not the others that have declined me, havent been accepted YET though

Was you getting high percentages on the eligibility checkers even when you wasn't showing on the electoral roll then?.
