Have since discovered that Samsung have discontinued this model and JL has increased the price!
I wouldn't complain about it being £399 in JL when the seller in the Amazon link you posted has got it available for £731! Seems JL have got it dirt cheap compared to that!
£379 in Currys if you really want to save the extra £20 though.0 -

Nope, and for the sake of £20 I know where I'd rather buy from.......0 -

A case of supply and demand. If the tv is popular and in short supply the price will go up.
Our tv was being discontinued, so I reserved one of two left at our local Richer Sounds (the other was being sold when I arrived to collect). The price then went up,on the site, but the set was only available as local collect and not in our store.
Two weeks later, the next size up was the same price as I paid, having initially been £100 dearer (didn't check if they had it locally), but that's the way things go. I could have risked waiting and ended up with neither. The new line is, as yet, a lot more expensive.0 -

I bought the X-Files Blu-Ray box set for £99. It now sells for £299.

Ya' know, where this thread is concerned, I was sorely tempted to say I'll get Mulder and Scully on the case. I wish I had now.

I can almost guarantee anything I'm after, and have spent time researching / choosing the exact model, will be out of stock from whichever retailer I choose.
I just think all retailers are operating as low stock levels as they can get away with (to avoid money tied up in warehouse stock), but they get caught out when several people do want the same thing.0 -

and this is a "conspiracy"?
Seems to me to be just good business; no retailer wants to be stuck with too much stock and not enough sales!0 -
'While stocks last' - they've just finished a massive sale designed to get rid of stock too so it shouldn't be that suprising, and maybe you should have been out and about in December to buy your TV...0
