I think this just gets more confusing every time, as the 'powers that be' just seem to add yet more prefixes and different charges on each.
This is one area where - although I generally understand complicated stuff more readily than something which is (supposedly) straightforward - problem is it is not complicated enough for me - the complexity on this occasion, with phone numbers, does get me.
(I think I would understand it if I could be bothered to go into depth with it and learn the prefixes and their charges. If I was to have a specialist interest in telephone prefixes once again, then I would know it straight out. Sadly :rotfl:, I'm on Morrisons prices at the moment and don't know anything much about prefixes unless I were to sit down and go through them all! Which I could do, and memorise everything - like you do:rotfl::rotfl:. But, at the moment, I'm not currently interested (enough) in phone prefixes.)
The current situation is:
01, 02, 03 - inclusive in allowance from landlines and mobiles, else 'geographic rate'
070 - personal numbers charged at a premium rate
071-075, 077-079 - inclusive in allowance from (some) landlines and mobiles, else 'mobile rate'
080 - free from landlines and mobiles
084, 087, 09 - premium rate with an Access Charge and a Service Charge.
Calls to geographic and mobile numbers allocated in Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man are usually excluded from inclusive allowances.
The above list ignores numbers starting 0500, 055, 056 and 076, but these are rare.0 -

That £249 toothbrush in hpool I found in the Durham store tonight at £125
How can that be possible
That's a hell of a price for a toothbrush  even at half price.
I think I may have found a little goldmine boots. if I order online I collect from a tiny pharmacy shop near to where I work. They dont stock toiletries at all BUT if they get uncollected orders or returns, they sell them rather than sending them back. I'm a good customer of theirsand have bought a few un-returned items from them in the past.
One of the SA phones me today to say they'd had an order not picked up and they were selling it at 90% off. I'm not at work this week and had to declineShe had a champneys hamper and 2 soap and glory gifts. I don't need the stuff but I'd have bought it at 90% off for work. Hey ho.
We have had a hilarious de-clutter this week. We both unearthed our school reports. mine go all the way through primary school and secondary School. Every single report I ever got says 'talks too much'
it's been a trying week so far so I m going to shut up and wish you goodnight X0 -

There has been massive simplification in the last few years.
The current situation is:
:(I think that's why I'm finding it more complicated!
Even there, though, six different paragraphs for six different types of numbers - far more than the average person could remember! Or ten if you count each of the 'rare' prefixes separately.
It's just too much. I might go and study your list later - but, even then, I'll probably need to print it out and keep it in front of the phone to look through every time before I ring a number! I think - in fact, I don't think, I know - this is why I refuse to ring any number other than a geographic telephone number nowadays.0 -

This is how I collect the M prices!
In M earlier, I think there were a few more changes than what I thought there would be. I thought there might be one side of a sheet of paper - I have two sides of one sheet instead. Much of that I think is probably conflicting prices between different stores - I had a lot of that this time. So what could they have possibly changed after a medium-size changeover on Monday and the start of new 'crunched' prices? I think possibly half the changes, though it may be fewer than that, are unfavourable unfortunately. (The bad news always tends to stick out!)
I'll start where I went in, at those plants at the front of the store (information about which I keep collecting). I couldn't find the Pot Mum in any of the stores I used this time. This was the "Plant of the Week" last week and, although it may have gone up in price, I think it's probably still £1 if it is available in some M. Anyway, I thought I wasn't going to chase around after that so I'll leave it as stands.
I've picked up some new "Outdoor Seasonal" plants at £1 though. I reckon I've not got them all:rotfl:. I collected them as follows: there were two different ones in my first store. I suspected that that was not all of them. In my second store, I found they had one that the first store had, plus a different one that it didn't have. So, three different ones now. Of course, I should have gone to my smallest store:rotfl:. In there, I found four different versions - all of the three that I had before, plus a further one. I suspect I've still not got them all:rotfl:.
I should go to my smallest store though as they have a larger range. However, if I'd done that, there would have been other items elsewhere that I wouldn't have had.
I think that the Loose Garlic, that went down from 30p to 11p on Monday, may have shot back up to 30p. So, that it seems was shortlived:(.
I found that two New Covent Garden soups, that I couldn't find on Monday but which were mentioned on an offer label, were in fact available in the store. I missed them on Monday because that was my second store back then and the Covent Gardens were a carry-over from the first store, which only showed one on offer and had the rest at £2 (I still think the majority are £2 this time btw) - so my check at the second store, rather than being every aisle, was the 30 minute check for the outstanding items and, of course, I went straight to the normal fresh soup shelf. It turns out the other two, referred to on the offer label, are in fact on an aisle end in a different part of the store. I noticed that this time since, with this now being my first store, I did the 'full walk' of the store. Just as well as the offer label mentioning the others has now been removed:rotfl:. I believe that there are only five that are on £1 offer in M - the four that are on my list, plus another one that is not stocked by A. I have also picked up another couple of Rustler's products from there that are potential Tvs M items.
I mentioned a lot of conflicting prices. I'm not happy about the SELs in my first two stores on some items. This is just my stores - the ones I happened to use this time (two of which were different from Monday) - and, go into other stores, as the APG no doubt does, and you would see a completely different situation. I wasn't happy with the SELs over the Muller Bliss Corners as the individual price labels show full price £2.67 in both my first two stores. The second store had an offer label showing £1 over one of them and, although it was non-specific and clearly applied to the others, I still was not happy about the individual full price labels, including underneath the offer label. If the APG collectors were to go into that store, I believe that they would take the information from the individual product labels and that is why we sometimes see full price returning on items even though they are on offer in M. However, go into my last store - the smallest one! - and, had I used just that store, there would have been no issue at all - showing £1 offer labels on every individual version!
It totally depends on which stores I visit and the order in which I happen to visit them. Had I started the collection in the last store first - a stupid idea as that is a smaller store and I would have had a lot more to carryover! (believe me, I did try starting there once so I do know from experience:rotfl: - I did that, in fact, as there is a member of staff in the other store who recognises me and works normally in a certain area of the store, so I thought I would check that department in a different store first - get everything from there and then check all the other places in the main store) - the smaller store would have given me the information of the Muller Bliss yogurts at £1 and then I would not have needed to check them in any further store. Unless I suspected that there were additional flavours that I did not already have, which I did not. If I had, I would have checked for any additional flavours in the next store - and then frowned at seeing them at full price, and then gone to a third (as I now have £1 and £2.67 and no common price) and found £2.67 there! And then wondered.
Anyway, the last store - the smaller one - is right as the offer is on until 7th February.
As I was, I started in what is my biggest store - in theory. I needed to check the exact weights on some of the other Youngs products. Well my biggest store, absolutely useless, didn't stock any of them:mad:! (I found them in my other bigger store, which I used last time but is in a different direction to where I went today.) Fortunately, I picked them up in my second store this time, which was not the same one as where I originally found them.
However, neither of the two bigger stores this time had the Findus pancakes:rotfl:. Unbelievable - two big stores and not got them! They were in the bigger store, my main one on Monday, that I didn't use this time. Of course I should have gone to my smallest store:rotfl:. I found the Findus pancakes in there this time, no problem!
There was an Actimel Kids drink in there too that I didn't have on Monday! I was not happy about the SELs in either of my two main stores this time, as both of them showed full price:(. I should have gone to my smallest store:rotfl:. In there, the SELs - clear £1 offer and no problem.
I genuinely thought that M did not stock the Strawberry & Vanilla version. I checked the main store I checked on Monday and it had two at £1 and then checked the other main store (the one I also visited on Wednesday, but this time as my first store) and it had the same two - didn't give me any additional ones that I was hoping for - and at £1. I thought M didn't have Strawberry & Vanilla at all. I checked msm to see if it had any additional flavours that I hadn't picked up but it shows nothing for M there. I deliberately left Strawberry & Vanilla off the list as I believed M did not have it. I went today, to my first main store - and saw the same other two as before but now saw the full price SEL:(. I therefore carried that over to check at the second main store. It also had full price SEL, but I thought the offer was still on anyway despite what I was seeing.
I was originally going to use two stores and tbh didn't have much to carry over to a third, but thought I may as well pop up the road to the third to see what prices on different types of items they had there since I had quite a bit at odds what what I knew!
I'm glad I did as I found the Actimel Kids drinks at £1 there:rotfl:. And I saw the Strawberry & Vanilla version, additional to what I already had! Again, I should just check my smallest store as they stock a wider range of items than the 'bigger' stores!:rotfl::rotfl: If I'd been there first I would have had the £1 price from the outset and all three comparable versions!
However, as is quite usual, the third store just created more conflict over what I previously had settled from two stores. I didn't have the Nuage shaving oil at all on Monday, from the only two stores I used then, but I had seen it last week - I no longer have to account for every item as, with numerous ones now picked up from far-away stores, that is impossible - and I suspected it was very likely still to be 50p - as the Palmolive shaving stick - in one store but not the other - was still 25p - so I left it on the list and made the assumption it was still 50p. A good assumption I felt. (You can see the situation - it was rush hour, this was the only major item I had outstanding on Monday, I couldn't be bothered to take it to a third store tbh as I'd done enough!)
This time, of course I did not have the Palmolive shaving stick from my first store, as that was the store that didn't have any evidence of it last time - they went OOS and then, on this, they removed the SEL:( - but fortunately my second store (a different one from the first last time) had it!:T They also had the Nuage shaving gel - at 47p:). So, I do not know whether it was 50p or 47p on Monday but I have it now at 47p. Then my third store this time came in - and 50p there:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. You know, I had that settled by my first two stores - one of which had the information. Don't need the third one to come in and upset that:p:rotfl:. They've obviously (to me) not yet changed their SEL. So, I'm putting it at 47p anyway:cool:.
My second store is the only nearby one (for me) that stocks the Yutaka Sushi Rice that msm has at 94p. I could drive 15 miles out, where another M store has this in its range, but it's in the wrong direction from where I start normally and there are no other Ms within very short distance that I could also check in the same area.
I knew some of the Yutaka products were on offer though - one of them, but not the Sushi Rice, has even made it to my main store:T:j - and I got the rice from msm but wanted to see it in real life. I could only throw my hands up in the air when I saw it in the store with its SEL of £1.41. What am I to do?:p Just... hopeless!:rotfl: Well, on this occasion, I did get it scanned (I stood no chance of seeing it anywhere else) and it is 94p.
So, if you heard someone frowning when they looked at Yutaka rice on the shelf earlier, that was me! I'm sure other Ms, where they have it, will have offer labels across a lot of the items in that area. They simply haven't changed the SELs in that area in the store I was in. Nor is there any evidence of a multibuy on the KTC oils - and the first store I normally use is a beggar for that sort of thing too! They never show the mbuys on the KTC tomato tins either. Fortunately, I know all of the offers from my other main store.
The small bag of Thorntons chocolates (108g) that was 50p before is now £1.50!:( That is on the 'reduced to clear' shelving of the store where I still have it too. I do not know how they can have £1.50 on the price label with the word "Reduced" all over the awning across the entire shelving, including immediately above the £1.50 price for this product. Perhaps it was 50p in other stores but not in that store. Perhaps it has been much higher priced before and has now gone down to £1.50, even though it went down to 50p before and has gone back up. However, there is no indication of any higher price or any period during which it might have been charged. So, it may have been "reduced" to £1.50 (compared to some previously higher price of some months before) but may or may not have been 50p in that store two weeks ago. If it was 50p, then perhaps it's another one of those "increased to clear" items! Anyway, it is £1.50 now (whatever it may have been) so avoid it!
I will also check the Hershey's Cookies n Cream, to see if it's the one I have on my list and what price I had that at, as my smallest store had it on its "reduced" shelf and it is showing, and scanning, at 71p there. I thought there was a price of 30p at one time:think:. Perhaps it's a different size - I'll check!
One of the Snog yogurts that had the T coupon is also on "Reduced to clear" in M. As that is the case, they should not compare at all on TBG as they specifically state that they do not include reduced to clear items of competitors. However, I did not know that they were reduced to clear, because there was no indication of that in previous Ms that I had seen. I do have a clear "Reduced to clear" sign from Wednesday though. I imagine that, if TBG collectors do not have any signs in the three stores they check, and they see the item there, then they would compare against the product at £1 price for M as there would be no way for them to know that the product was reduced to clear.
I do not know whether the ProChef Colanders are still £1 - though I imagine they are as that was their RTC price - as I do not have any of them, or any SELs, in any of the stores I have checked on Monday or Wednesday now. If any of them are available in any Ms, I suspect they would be hard to come by now.
I think the own label frozen pies mbuy in M may no longer be on, because it has been removed from display in all four of the stores I've seen. However, this means nowt:rotfl:. (The Chicken Grills were still on mbuy despite being removed from the display in half of the stores I checked last time.)
I was also in doubt about whether the Black Jacks sweets mbuy was still on in M after I saw my second store. However, this is similar to the situation I had before, when I decided - a judgement call - to keep it on the list with the mbuy after I had:
First store - no mbuy showing anymore;
Second store - no mbuy showing;
Third store - still showing mbuy.
I thought it was probably still likely to be on (even though there is no end date), despite having two stores in which it had dropped off. The mbuy had started not long before, and I thought it was still likely to be on. The APG did pick it up shortly afterwards.
So, even on a minority of stores, there I decided the minority pricing was correct!
Now, I have -
First store - mbuy showing. (It's been showing in that store throughout - that was store number 3 the previous time.)
Second store - they've removed the mbuy labels - just empty wallets showing now:(. This caused me to doubt whether the mbuy was on quite a lot, especially as the Milkybar and Rowntrees tots separate mbuy offer is on, and I thought one different one might be starting (2 for 80p) and the Blackjacks etc. one (4 for £1) might be ending.
Third store, my smallest one - is still showing the mbuy however.
I think the mbuy is still on.
However, on the Trebor mints, which I picked up the mbuy from my first store last time (which I didn't visit this time) - and it was supposed to be on for some time as well - I have none of the three stores this time showing it at all. Few stores appear to be showing it from what I now have (in fact none of them for me this time). However, the mbuy is clearly still on (judging by the first store on Monday). I think, again, the rolls of sweets - I mean the Trebors not the Blackjacks - might be quite risky as to whether they pick up the mbuy or not on the APG if few M stores appear to be showing it. I would not have thought this from Monday - then, I had a store clearly showing it - across a full range as well. Even though I didn't have it in the second store - but then might not fully check that on every item if I had something very clear from the first store. From the three stores I checked on Wednesday though, there is no mbuy showing for the Trebor mints in any of the stores. If it is on (which I believe it is) then it's not showing across the products in those stores at all.0
