    My shopping has actually worked!
A little heart-stopping moment before the actual comparison comes up, and I see that everything has compared the way I wanted - and I've even got best comp. that I could have got on everything I bought!

We'd been using items from the freezer, quite a bit of space was growing and I thought I'll never know what to fill that up with! Well, the answer today. Frozen fish? Might be:D.

    :rotfl:
So, this is all vs T!
4x Young's Gastro Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper Dusted Basa Fillets (320G) £13.92 £8.00

Thanks squigs. I think, if people are getting their carefully-chosen frozen fish, you have quite less than an hour now to get them! My store was already showing £3.48 SEL but they did scan at 2 for £5! I think this offer is ending at midnight.

    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Conference Pears (600G) £0.85 £0.73
    1x ASDA SmartPrice Jaffa Cakes (135G) £0.35 N/A:)

    A bit big banana!
0.24x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (PER KG) £0.16 £0.16

However, to be fair on me, I was only paying a few pence after voucher use anyway and I did need to ensure I would be at least over my voucher spend in order to avoid any unnecessary faff - especially as I was using a Finish voucher and wanted to do so without any assistance!

I definitely did not want to abandon the transaction, go and find a banana that I should have got instead and then come back and try again as those fish might well risk going to full price if I came back and tried a few minutes later! As soon as I got that 2 for £5 price, I kept with it!

SP Frozen peas are best vs T and work out cheaper than M's 69p price (for 900g).

    1x ASDA Smartprice Peas (1KG) £0.78 £0.77

They do not compare against M unfortunately - in my view they ought to as they are (just) in the weight range. Nonetheless if they were to adjust on weight, they would adjust to 76.6666...p which would probably round up to that same 77p anyway (even though in my view it ought to round down to ensure they are always "at least" 10% cheaper) but I think the price collectors have not noticed that the M product is within weight range. The comp. vs T is adjusted on weight. That is from the more reliable(?) online method and, while M is 69p for 900g, T is 70p for 900g and T's price would adjust to 77.7777...p, which I thought would round up and be very slightly more than what vs M should be but isn't, but I see it has rounded down:D and gives the comp. against T that we should have against M but which is continuing to return an N/A against M! So, a bit better than 10% off T's price by weight. As long as you don''t waste at least 4p too much on a banana:rotfl:.

    A vs S
Don't think the Weetabix porridge worked as no multi buy on receipt. Still good comparison .

0.15x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Onion (order by number of onions or select kg) (PER KG) £0.10 £0.12
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Oranges (EACH) £0.30 £0.30
0.17x ASDA Loose Carrot (order by number of carrots or select kg) (PER KG) £0.10 £0.10
0.19x ASDA Loose Cox Apples (PER KG) £0.38 £0.35
    1x Sofcell Toilet Roll (4 PK) £1.00 N/A
2x Weetabix Ready Brek Super Smooth Porridge Original (8X30G) £3.94 £2.00
    1x Asda SmartPrice ASDA Grower's Selection Pears (500G) £0.78 N/A
2x Quaker Oat So Simple Morning Bars Golden Syrup Flavour (5X35G) £4.38 £3.00

:(I thought the price even after the glitch was too high for me! Or maybe this is one of the items I wouldn't use? I don't think I'd use much porridge, going from experience of what's got used up in the past, so that's why I didn't go for this one! I think it was some of the cereal bars that actually weren't good enough for me. Did I see £1.62 for 2? That is obviously 84p each and I felt that that was hardly any better than straight 10% off normal £1 offer prices (90p).

I couldn't have got a 'fail' on this - or partial fail (since the 10% off comp. is good for you) - if I'd tried as my bill would have been too much and I would have seen I was having to pay too much. Did your store have no mbuy now showing on the SEL? I think, when that happens - and it may be different times in different stores - someone, soon after, presses the 'mbuy off' button and the item goes to full price in the store. SFSB mentioned this a while ago - maybe they change the SELs a day early, at some point during that day, to avoid GC overcharge claims, and then the offer ends a bit later in the store. My fish showed no mbuy on the SEL but they were still going through at mbuy price.

I have Sal to thank for this as well, as one of her posts during the last glitch revealed that the basa fillets - but not the then more lucrative dusted cod fillets - were available in small supermarkets. I went to a small supermarket as that was nearer. (I managed to do a shop there - I was surprised to find the SP Peas:D, but then I don't shop in Supermarkets often because of the limited range - and I had a lot of alternative items ready in order to try to get whatever got up to my preplanned bill amount.) The dusted cod is obviously not on this time, so I didn't need to have a store with it in:cool:.

    Vs S
    1x Asda SmartPrice ASDA Grower's Selection Pears (500G) £0.78 N/A

I thought my pears were a bit expensive:eek::
    Vs T
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Conference Pears (600G) £0.85 £0.73

However, you would have had to do another shop and buy yet further items in order to get that!
I remember when 800g were very briefly 50p in M. That's my guide price really:rotfl:. However, (a) I needed some more fruit; and (b) although it has downsized quite a lot over the years, it's not 'too bad' (he says - 87.6p:eek: per 800g that were sometimes a bit more than that weight) and I needed at least something that was more than a few pence this time in order to spend the amount I had available to spend!

I never thought I'd spend that £7 Finish voucher:rotfl:. Managed it no problem thanks to this!:D Many thanks again squigs for the fish!:T:T

:(The screen just flashed on me and I lost a little addition to my last post!

But I was saying that I may have had a risk on my shop. I'm glad that the Conference Pears identify T's Conference Pears pack at 75p rather than T's Pears pack 610g at £1.50:eek:. I saw that the offer on the Conference Pears in T had been on for a few days already and so it was one able to go for. The Conference Pears pack in T is 610g so, obviously, it is adjusting the price down a little on weight.

There are some new offers on cereal boxes in T starting soon which are already online. I felt that unfortunately these would not work yet and therefore could not buy them, however they will be very useful for getting half the shopping bill back:D on future shops against T (and for very good 10% cheaper prices) as long as A does not put its prices down.

    And did they?
I think this just gets more confusing every time, as the 'powers that be' just seem to add yet more prefixes and different charges on each.

This is one area where - although I generally understand complicated stuff more readily than something which is (supposedly) straightforward - problem is it is not complicated enough for me - the complexity on this occasion, with phone numbers, does get me.

(I think I would understand it if I could be bothered to go into depth with it and learn the prefixes and their charges. If I was to have a specialist interest in telephone prefixes once again, then I would know it straight out. Sadly:rotfl:, I'm on Morrisons prices at the moment and don't know anything much about prefixes unless I were to sit down and go through them all! Which I could do, and memorise everything - like you do:D:rotfl::rotfl:. But, at the moment, I'm not currently interested (enough) in phone prefixes.)
