    Good morning

If you've got the carling ipint app... Be careful with expire dates as they seem to expire at the very beginning of the expire date not at the end as you'd expect:( my free pack has gone expired :(

Didn't dare go and get it last weekend as we were doing dry January, though temptation maybe a little too much after a bad day in the office!!
if you email ipint@checkoutsmart.com with a picture of your receipt & tell them they'll add to your account ;) hubby just did it & got £15 :j
    Happy Bargain Hunting!!

Thanks for the information...Apart from the additional cost for me to travel to Iceland...Please correct me if I am wrong but, I believe that Iceworld are 360g packets as opposed to the 500g in Sada..:D £1 as opposed to £1:03 As

  • Afternoon all

Just a quick post while waiting for my massage.
If nannylala has not left on her travels I wanted to let her know accessorise at gatwick has some amazing bags. Bonus getting tax free prices.
First 2 days very warm with very little wind. Hazy cloud today but again very little wind which is unusually here.
Doing nothing much and in bed with my kindle by 8pm but have just finished The Anzac Girls which was an amazingly good read.

    The spa is calling.

  • Helen - pleased your son is better today
Ladyshopper - well done on your swim

I have just completed the big garden birdwatch and guess what, no birds at all.
Been completing this for the last few years and never had this result, must be an abundance of food still in the hedgerows as I have had far less birds in the garden this winter.

I must be honest we have hardly any birds in the garden at the moment. It has been the quietest bgbw I have ever done.
I did have five goldfinches at one time which I was quite pleased with.

Just popped in to catch up. Helen, so pleased your son is OK.

Targeted shop, mince worked, toothbrush was reduced in between ordering and paying. (If mine was a shop with the new system, it would have worked in my favour!)

7 items (6 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda Tesco

    2x ASDA Butcher's Selection British Lean Turkey Mince (500G) £7.00 £4.90
    1x Colgate ProClinical C250 Electric Toothbrush (EACH) £18.50 £17.50
0.17x ASDA Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (PER KG) £0.12 £0.11
Comparison total (compared products only) £26.81 £23.70
    +£3.11 cheaper

APG over a fiver. Fillers removed. HD.

It was only a matter of time before A. altered the system, as no doubt they have people reading this thread.
After the long running Udis and all the rtc products, where people have posted massive apgs, A. seem to now have found a way of stopping this loophole in the system.:(

Though I have suddenly realised that this can also work in our favour, see toothbrush post above, it would make more sense if their APG compared the actual price paid rather than charging us over the odds.

Can anyone recommend a good powerful microwave they have and are happy with please. We only ever use a microwave for everything , don't bother with the oven. We bought a replacement from Tesco about 3 months ago and it's not very good :(.

We could cook a whole chicken in our old one in about 25 mins but this one is only a 900 and it takes well over an hour. The old one was 1000. And we could do with one with easy instructions too please :o

I'd go with a combination microwave, not just one with a grill, every time. My brother and I both have one of these:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-NN-CF760M-Flatbed-Combination-Microwave/dp/B00426D8D4

Haven't read the reviews on Amazon but we like it very much. It does not have a turntable which means that you can put bigger dishes in it. I've not had problems with cold/hot spots though if I put something like a lasagna in it, I use combination so would not notice cold/hot spots. When it goes, I shall replace it with something as similar as possible but it has been going some years now.

    Right, back to chores now!
