Hi, got really scared a little while ago, my ds3 who 2 was really struggling to breath , I've never ran so fast down stairs in my life, my husband was outside getting car ready to talk him down hospital as his had cough , wheezing when breaths for last couple of days couldn't sleep ,he ran round my next door neighbour as his a nurse ( thank god) he told us to get him down hospital as his breathing is not right. Just had phone call to say his got bronchitis and they ar now deciding if to keep him in.
I've actually never been that scared before. So I'm just waiting for another phone call .
So may have a read back on here for a little while .

glad it all turned out better than you thought, at that age they have a way of terrifying you - we are always veterans of the scared rush to hospital with the eldest who had very dramatic febrile convulsions - you don't hear of them much now, have they gone out of fashion.
I thought croup was out of fashion as well - just horses got it - possibly its just called something else now

I am a bit annoyed about the soposts - I seem to have missed loads recently and only seen a skin care one this month - is it possible to do searches for them?

That's such a relief Helen, I imagine you are all tired today apart from your other 2 children. Good idea to do a first aid course, good luck in finding one in close proximity to you :)

I am not trusted with the oven as I just switch it on without checking the temp so usually its too low or too hot - mind you our oven switches are melted and unreadable since the lads set fire to the over ...so not really my fault

We could do with a new built in oven as ours is about 28 years old  it works, the dials are fine and the light goes out when it gets to temperature. Only problem is if it says on a bag of chips it takes 12 - 15 minutes oyr oven takes 40 - 50 minutes

DH reckons there is nothing wrong with it  even the boys ribbing him saying we need a new one and yes we do :o:)

a new oven are on our got to do list this year and we are dreading it, getting used to an oven that actually works but it would be nice to have one where you can use the timer.
this year so far the microwave has died on us, last year it was the washing machine died in the week before we went away so that was £400  as we didn't have the time to do deep research and shop around.
before that the freezer and fridge were replaced and upgraded and this cost £1000  - it was from a local retailer but sadly our money did not stop him going out of business the next year - so much for supporting local firms.
at this rate we will have all new shiny technologically advanced appliances in a kitchen circa 1992

The radio wa son with the very sad and painfully miserable news about the death of Terry Wogan - he was much loved by my parents and always radio 2 was on in the background - so another connection to them slips away and the world is a sadder place.

He was the same generation as my parents and he kept his Irishness all the way through, an old tropper working right up to the bitter end, there will not be another of his like again.

It has surprised me how badly his death has affected me, like loosing a favourite uncle, I've been sobbing and crying ever since all the way home and even my birthday Yorkshire gold tea bag has not worked its magic. ..

Something sets me off most days now, usually I go to the compost bins to water them and give them a digging over while I am having a howl about whatever has upset me that day but its a bit miserable outside - I think I need to put myself on special measures :D
