Hearing of his passing made me think of my parents too. End of an era :A

mhoc you sound like you have a bit of what I've got think the longer days and a bit more sun shine should sort us out unless it's our age. :o. Sending you a hug xx

it is our age and I think getting out and about more would help even if its just pottering in the garden.

I've got a small dish of Nigella seeds which I saved and I think I might get them started this week even though its very early :D

    That's good news, Helen x

I think the Red Cross or St John's Ambulance might do courses, DD went on one somewhere, will ask her later. x

Glad to hear he's on the mend :) St John's Ambulance offer first courses at varying levels.

I made the most amazing discovery last night while renewing my library books on line:rotfl:.......rock and roll Saturday nights:rotfl:

You probably all know about this but it was news to me and today I feel like a kid in a sweetshop:D

Most county libraries have access to Zinio and I registered last night to find I have access to over 100 monthly magazine and back copies too:T
Everything from the TV listings magazines to The Economist, all the BBC food magazines, health magazines.....in fact all the popular titles you see in any good newsagent plus the specialist mags too ....I counted 5 cycling magazines for Mr TM.

    I am beyond excited:D

this is excellent. I cant see anything on my local councils library page but there is a chat facility that is available when they are open so I will ask them then. I am trying not to be cynical but possibly its something ours does not have.
I found the general zinio website but its a paying for website.

I was looking at my daily spends chart spend last night and I have a column for magazines and newspapers but for most months the spend in this column has been nothing - OH brings me home anything collected from trains, odd times you get new mags when you go recycling and then there are online editions - I used to be obsessed with mags pre www days and must have been spending at least £20 a month - funny how times change

Last Sunday, the whole male contingent of my household went fishing at silly o'clock. I stayed in bed. I was left a note to put the oven on at 140 at 12pm. I did.......so I made dinner :D :rotfl::rotfl:

I didn't even know what was in there :o

was that the meat that looked like a welly afterwards :rotfl:

I am not trusted with the oven as I just switch it on without checking the temp so usually its too low or too hot - mind you our oven switches are melted and unreadable since the lads set fire to the over ...so not really my fault

    Bless you silly moo :rotfl:

I'm fine. My family are being amazing and I'm mighty grateful for it. I don't think relate will be listing bone marrow cancer as a marriage saving strategy anytime soon but it's worked for us ;) :rotfl::rotfl:

OH has more than stepped up and the kids are being great with the exception of DD who is being a diva. Don't tell her but this pleases me. I see more of me in her than any of my other kids. Yes, she frustrates me.....but she is me  OH has commented lately how scarily like my teenage self she is. I really don't think I was that bad *sniff* :D :rotfl:

this is really good news, cherish the good days :)

I am an embarrassing failure in the bird watching department AJ......this is my bird of prey that I'd been watching for weeks and trying to identify.

But by doing it you could learn to tell the difference between a pigeon and a duck;)

    You think so :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
