Thank you for submitting your parking charge Appeal to POPLA.
An Appeal has been opened with the reference 4413145431.
New Generation Parking Management have told us they do not wish to contest the Appeal. This means that your Appeal is successful and you do not need to pay the parking charge.
Yours sincerely

I then contacted POPLA because I recently received a Notice of Debt Assignment from some debt collectors, they responded with....

Thank you for y our recent email recently received.
Your appeal has not, as yet, been assigned to an Assessor.
Whilst your appeal is in progress there should be no enforcement action being taken. If you refer to our FAQ section on our website this is stated.
If you have more than one appeal with our service then please advise.
Kind Regards
Eileen Ioannou

Confused much? Yes, I am.0 -
Do all these relate just to the one ticket? Are there ticket reference numbers in the paperwork that are somehow different?Je Suis Cecil.0

Oh dear, why is the level of comprehension by virtually everyone in this industry so abysmally low. Clearly they did not read your email
as there seems little point in prolonging this farrago, I would return a copy of their reply to PoPLA and write in marker pen across it "Please read my email to which this refers".You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Yes, all one ticket. Surprise surprise, there is only one reference number in the debt collector's letter, which appears to be an internal reference for their case with New Generation Parking Management. No mention of POPLA reference.
Why would POPLA tell me my appeal is successful and then tell me it's ongoing?
Why are NGP sending me debt letters if the appeal is still open?
Who do I point these questions to?
Thanks again.0 -
Try the Lead Adjudicator for POPLA (sorry don't have contact details), also email Steve Clark of the BPA and ask that the BPA investigate this.
steve.c@britishparking.co.ukPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
