Nice to see you back :j

    Csarina

Thinking of you and hoping fervently that things are calm and respectful for you all. Gentle hug.

    RR
Hope that things improve one way or another for you.

Decided to brave getting to the other end of town via the shuttle bus yesterday morning. Visited chemist, posted letters, dropped off a cheque to the solicitor and picked up the contract to sell our house. Had a quick coffee and bacon roll before going to the bus stop to get back. I left around 9.30 and got back about 12.30 so it was not bad bit was frozen and wet when I got home.

Must post a birthday card for youngest later today and get two dds to sign some documents if they come over at the weekend.

There is talk about a pedestrian bridge being put up but no decisions made yet and the large supermarket hopes to reopen (with a smaller stock) on Monday.

    Hugs to all

Csarina and family...thinking of you today.

Meanmarie my sister also lives in West Cork so is probably having the same kind of driving experiences as your son. It rained all night here and it's still at it.

TravellingAbuela arrowroot can be used as a chicken coating. Dip the chicken in a beaten egg then coat in arrowroot as if you were using bread crumbs. It's rather tasty.

I'm having the kitchen redone as some point in the near future so the person who is doing the job is calling round to discuss that soon, gulp! It won't be as big a job as when the kitchen was replaced in the big house that we lived in before. I will be getting a new fridge, freezer and cooker though. The integrated fridge and freezer that are part of the current kitchen aren't big enough and the oven is on it's last legs. I'm also having shelves put in a cupboard to make it into a larder cupboard.

All jobs were done yesterday except for the ironing so that needs to be done today. Tea tonight is stir fry so nothing to do there but chop a few mushrooms when the time comes. The boy will have a jacket potato with cheese and beans. He hasn't grown into enjoying visible vegetables yet, sigh.

csarina I wish you peace on this darkest of days my dear I cannot imagine what you are feeling at this moment honey ,but we are all here for you when ever you need us xx

Well chums today for many is a sad day and for those who are feeling bad and going through turmoil for what ever reason I do wish for you all some relief. <<gentle hugs for you all>>

Molly good to 'see' you again, and welcome to any new folk who have come out of 'lurkedom'
At the moment the sun is shining here in Kent ,but I feel it won't last. I am off to do my first food shop this year this morning and then this afternoon I am going to History Club so normality is resumed after all the festivities.
Tomorrow my DGS Ben goes back to Uni and he will be sorely missed ,bless him. My cold is at the sneezy stage and I just keep on sneezing all the time its such a nuisance, but like everything it will go eventually I hope .

I met up with my friend on Tuesday and we saw The Danish Girl, not a bad movie and beautiful costumes. She is trying to organise our spring break and I think we are going to somewhere in Staffordshire, possibly near to Leak I think .She said there are lots of places to visit around there so it should be interesting. We haven't had our yearly spring break for a couple of years as her DD gave birth to a set of twins two years ago ,but now they are a bit easier to handle we are going off for a week probably around may time. Her OH is often away with his job, travelling all around the world. She just sticks a pin in the map and we go to the area she pins.We have had some really nice breaks all over the country.
We both enjoy stately piles and history which helps :)
Right time to get a wriggle on
Try to keep warm and dry if you can chums

    Morning all,

Very cold first thing but the Sun is out and shining brightly :)

Two lots of washing done this morning and sorted out DH's van insurance. Need to do the PLI but will do that another day. One renewal in a day is enough!

Just spent 5 mins looking for my glasses only to find them on my head!

Sausages for dinner tonight, when I've been to the butcher and bought them!

    Happy Friday :)

    (((hugs))) to Csarina x
  • Good morning, another one coming out of lurkdom here :D

Csarina - thinking of you on this terrible day - hope all goes as well as these things can (((((hugs)))))

Desperate to get back on the OS Wagon.... have been more than a little frivolous these past couple of years, after my dear daddy passed away :(

I work full time, so have not always got the time I would like to spend on OS ways - but have been good all week and made sandwiches for DH, DD and myself. Have also stuck to a meal plan, and cut out wine during the week. But guess what? It's Friday today - so I can open a bottle tonight :D

I tend to glance at the Flylady thread and have been trying to achieve all the Level 1's, and have got my blanket back out of hibernation to finish knitting - 40 squares knitted - 50 to go :rotfl:

Dinner tonight will be Chicken and Chorizo Paella.

Hope everyone has a good day :)
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Morning everyone -massive hugs for those that need them xx

I am off to DD today to do some family history work with her and to spend time with the grandkids

Quick visit to Mr T's tonight for some frozen chicken wings for the dogs then evening in with dh.
Cold boiled ham and chips for tea I think.

Have a good day everyone xx

A quick pop in between doing things and some procrastination.
