Tru - if you tried something like this, you should be able to slide the panels in and out

Hi all,
Csarina, I hope today goes smoothly.
I made a carrot cake for OH yesterday, so today will mostly be spent trying not to eat it as I'm trying to slim down (which Dry January is helping with very nicely!) OH has to go into London this afternoon so has the morning off which will be nice. He can watch me put facing in the dress I'm making! I'm also going to make some potholders/place mats this weekend as I've bought the fabric for them and, since dumping the microwave, I'm regretting konmari'ing the mismatched placemats as everything comes out of the oven piping hot!
After the school run I'm going to clean bathroom and WC, mop floors, process a cycle of laundry, go for a run and iron some shirts.
Meant to be going into London for a friend's 25th birthday party tonight but I'm dreading it as I'll be driving and not drinking so I'm not sure how long I'll last
Hope all the OSers have a good day, or as good as can be :happylove:0 -
Seconding ISLANDMAID on the clips as we have those and our 3 foot panels slide up and out easily. Although it's more a two person job. I wouldn't like to try it with a 6 foot panel though!! (Got ours at B & Q) xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Thank you for all the lovely welcoming comments on yesterday's thread xxx
My health is still the bain of my life but plod on with my two little westies who continue to be the centre of my universe. I worry about Molly as she is getting old now but she still thinks she is a puppy!
Miss Molly is now in her third year and doesn't want to become an adult - as she calls it! The rest are ok we go with the flow most of the time!
Sending my thoughts to Csarina and Ruby Red xxxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Day off today , need to do some cleaning , dd1 is coming home for the weekend as its mil's 91st birthday tomorrow , looking forward to seeing dd so much , especially as she has been poorly and needs some love from her mum
I need to clean her room and put fresh sheets on as I sleep in there when she's away as DH snores so badly . At the moment though all I can hear is the cat snoring!!:rotfl:
Dd2's phone has stopped working , so she has an appointment with an apple expert later today at Meadowhell I'll go with her and peruse what's left in the sales .
Pasta bolognaise for dinner tonight , a dd1 request

Good morning everyone. Csarina - sorry to hear that you are off to a funeral, best wishes.
Day off today which is great. Going to gym first thing and then Aldi for a monthly shop (store cupboard type things). Must do a quick stocktake before I go.
Lots of bits to do today;
Childminder paperwork
Balance accounts
Pay in cheques for sons
Send back coat (too small for son)
Meet up with sister and give her cardy to send back (my birthday present but it's wrong style)
Try on cycling shoes and send back the ones that don't fit.
Clean spare room for guest
Clean upstairs
Mop kitchen floor
Washing

Thank you to everyone, you have supported us through this awful time.
Today will be the worst day of our lives, we will get through.0 -
Morning everyone.
Cold, frosty and still grey outside. Yesterday was mostly dry until five minutes after I decided to go out. I had two letters to post which needed to go yesterday so couldn't wait.
Csarina - all good wishes for an uneventful and peaceful goodbye for your Nick. It won't be easy but I hope it passes without any outbursts.
I have no plans for today apart from collecting currency from the PO and posting it off.
I hope everyone has a good Friday.0 -
Morning all,
My thoughts today are for you Csarina. I hope the day goes smoothly.
R/R (((hugs)))
Tru I hope you feel better soon. Must admit this sore throat of mine co mes and goes like the wind.
Not going to see Mom today. I'm going tomorrow night instead. I want to see the night staff and there's a curtain rail I want hubby to look at. Just the curtain that's come off its track but it's been like it since she moved into the room. Obviously I could request they put it right but it's just me being picky and it's just cosmetic so I'll do it myself. I usually take her some fruit, some juice drinks, a magazine and her toiletries need replenishing. They go through body wash at an alarming rate but at least I know she's being washed.
I cut down a rather large fleece last night and there's fluff everywhere. So ill be vacuuming throughout this morning...The dogs have trodden it everywhere but last night I was too tired to get the mess up.
Onwards and forwards,
Have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi everyone,
Csarina, thinking of you.
Molly, it's good to see you posting again, although I can't talk because I vanished into lurkdom for several years.
I managed to finish the second baby quilt top and have now decided I prefer the first one so I'll do a pieced backing for that and finish it next week as the birth is perilously close.
I need to go out to buy a birthday card for DH's sister, although I'll go through my small stash first to see if there's anything suitable. I can look for a card for DH's 60th as well - his present will be a plastering course, he's always wanted to be able to plaster properly.
Apart from that I need to bottom the kitchen, dinner will be lo cottage pie so nothing to prepare apart from some veggies.
Hester, is the whole school cold or just the offices?
Have a good day.0
