I went back into this post and clicked on the highlighted "sign on", it took me straight to the site! I'm already a member with RAC, but my partner has just bought a new car so it'll give him peace of mind whilst he's getting to know it. Thank you very much. :T

What information is included in the confirmation e-mail? It was sent to my Junk Mail folder and I accidentally deleted it when I was moving it to my Inbox. There weren't any confirmation links or anything? I'm worried that I might miss out.

The email just states:

Thank you for selecting RAC Rescue - you now have 90 days FREE roadside assistance! We have received your details. Your cover will begin on 04/09/2007.

We will send you full details by post in the next couple of days, but please allow up to a week for them to arrive.

• If you need assistance after your cover starts but before your documentation has arrived, please call us on 0800 0511 404 and explain the situation.
• When our patrol arrives, the engineer will need to see a copy of the email confirmation we have sent you. Please print it off and keep it handy in your car, together with an additional form of identification - for instance, your driving licence.
• If you need to make any changes to your membership details, please call the RAC Service Centre on 0870 5722 722
• If you wish to upgrade your membership cover, please call the RAC Service Centre on 0800 0726 826
