No he's never claimed before, I told him to from early decemeber because i knew i hadn't managed to get enough overtime in to last us and he didn't want to go because his reading and writing isn't great so he couldn't fill in the forms. He eventually did do it and i think he has an appointment with them tomorrow but even still that will be 2 weeks from tomorrow before he even gets paid wont it?0

Yeah this is a CAB near me but I'm at work from 8 - 10 tomorrow, I'm going to ask him to go0

Is he getting help with his reading and writing? Your closest college will have free courses he can attend.
Is there anything you can sell or take to a pawn brokers?0 -
I doubt I'll get an overdraft, thank you guys for all your help.0

He's finally come around to the idea of going to college, he has dyslexia and has been put down about it quite a bit which has destroyed his confidence. He said he went to a college once and even the teacher laughed at him because he couldn't read well, his niece has laughed at him because she showed him something once and he couldn't read it so things like that really get to him. I try to help him at home but even then sometimes he clams up on me. So yeah college courses are definately on the cards for him this year and I will help him in any way I can.0

He's said we can get £38 for the xbox in the living room, it's not mine it's a friends she left it here over a year ago and has never asked for it back so I guess she won't mind. I could always buy it back when i get paid.0

Hi, It might sound silly but your boyfriend needs to use his dyslexia i.e. learning disability to his advantage so when he goes anywhere needs to say I'm severely dyslexic can you help me?
Being diagnosed as dyslexic was so liberating for me as I no longer felt stupid. It wasn't an excuse I think and act differently to a lot of people, I did eventually get a degree because I'm me, I had a diagnosis and appropriate support. If your boyfriend was to say my glasses are broken and I cannot read this no one would bat an eyelid.
You can manage on 1 pound a day for food if you use cheap bread eggs etc, sell whatever you can.
good luck0 -
Thank you, what support did you receive for you dyslexia? I just showed him your message, helped him to read it trying to encourage him. I don't fully understand dyslexia. Another thing he was doing was just telling people he couldn't read which i think was the reason why people were laughing but I've told him instead of saying that say you are dyslexic.0
