  • I highly recommend'The Circle' by Dave Eggers. A really good read and it makes you question the current social media and"feedback" aspects of our culture. DH, DD and I have had many a discussion about issues raised in this book.

Just finished "Black Eyed Susans" by Julia Heaberlin

Good reviews on amazon and the blurb was good.

However, for me, the book failed to live up to expectations. the first part of the book rambled on seemingly unsure of it's destination. the ending was rushed and confusing. Dare i say a little "cliched"

    next on my list id

Reading The Garden of Evil by David Hewson at the moment ,bit of a slow start but its getting better, lots of interesting things about Caravaggio although its set in modern times .I went to see the movie The Girl on the Train on Tuesday, book is much better I thought . I'm listening to the Allan Bennet diaries on Radio Four in the morning (Keep on Keeping On) and have put the book on my Christmas list of books I would like as a present :):):)

8/10 - so deliciously OS I didn't want it to end. Although I vehemently disagree with his essay about splitting restaurant bills.

I have just finished reading Maeve Binchy's 'Heart and Soul'. I really enjoyed this book. The characters are diverse yet equally engaging and I really looked forward to finding out what had happened to each of the character's lives.

I'm still reading my Stephen King book but have started a Street Cat called Bob as light relief.
