6 current accounts spread across Santander, TSB, Nationwide, Nat West, and Tesco. Monthly interest is approx. £135 (3-5%) and no my credit score has not been affected.

Between my wife and I we have 3x TSB, 2x Halifax Reward, 2 x Nationwide, 3xNatwest though only one of the NatWest accounts is a reward and so the other 2 serve little purpose at the moment.

I currently have 1 x Lloyds Bank, 1 x Halifax, 1 x TSB (for the 5% on contactless payments) and am currently in the process of applying for an account with the Co-Op (for the TCB offer) and also HSBC (for their offer too).
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

If I was to switch my main account would I be likely to get offered a similar overdraft I currently have as the other two accounts only offered my less than half?
The general consensus is that opening current accounts without overdrafts has little effect on credit scores, but the overdrafts may have.

I've lost count of how many accounts I've had, but currently using 5.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new record holder!
  • For those who've got multiple accounts across different banks - what do you find are the benefits of this? I piggy-bank and have 4 current accounts, but have them all with Natwest so everything is in one place. Am I being naive??
