Was hoping someone could clear a few things up for me. I have a TV with a scart connection so i would have to buy a scart lead and connect this to the freeview box.
I have a tv aerial socket what would i use to connect that to box?
Also could i get a tv aerial that i connect to the box?
Finally what cable do you use to connect the box and tv together and does that come with the box?
Thanks for your help.0 -
Tesco Extra in Newbury has sold out. They still have the huge sign outside, though. Of course, they want us to go in looking for sold-out freeview boxes and then stay for our weekly shopping. What sort of mugs to they think we are? As soon as I found out they'd sold out, I abandoned my empty trolley and walked out of the shop.0

Sorry for the dumb question but if you have a freeview box do you still need an aerial?? My daughter doesn't have an aerial in her bedroom so can only watch videos at the moment, I was wondering if a freeview box would avoid needing an aerial??0

With Sky you will get more quantity and whether you view that as quality I dont know and depends on your taste.
If you have the digibox all connected then go for Sky.
I use my freeview box entirly for watching sky sports news on a portable so the breadth of channels doesnt really interest me too much0 -

Got the last one at about 11pm last night from Abingdon Extra.
Was really weird, there were no signs that I could see just one lone box on the shelf with all the other freeview boxes. No price ticket and no space on the shelf where they would have been.
But yeah, it was £100 -

Quite! I just tried Prescot Tesco Extra - huge banners on the roundabout approaching the retail park where the store is, massive A-Board signs outside, huge cardboard 'banner' inside the front door, head over to the TV's bit and just an empty space. Thinking that perhaps they're behind the desk to avoid a crowd scene and ask the lady who says they have none, went yesterday. I suggested to her that perhaps they should alter the signs then, or take them down until they get stock and she just looked at me and said they might get more in. Useless.
I know they're a business and want to make money and get people inside their store but I'm sure there must be rules about advertising goods for sale that clearly aren't available. If they were all gone yesterday then there is no reason why signs cannot be removed. They would have some defence if they'd just gone an hour beforehand or something so there hadn't been time to remove them, but when they're gone the previous day - very poor show.
Having had some involvement in Tesco's logistics in a past life, they couldn't even say that they didn't know when to expect them and so left signage up - believe me that Tesco know EXACTLY where every item of stock is, and exactly what will be on each lorry and delivery, down to the order in which the cages are loaded onto the lorry to match the store/warehouse layout.
Rant over - they really need to get their act together.0
